Big thanks for the comments! :)

A good training for Jaseliunas is vital because we have only four decent defenders in U21, so they have to be at their best. ;) Yes, there are several monster strikers in the U21 teams this season and I'm putting my hopes on Jaseliunas. :D

Another match with many goals. :) It was quite difficult to observe I must say because both teams had kits with similar colors. :P

Fortunately our wingers were given pretty much space this time as Australia hadn't covered the wings just as I had suspected. On the other hand, our two midfielders got pretty much beaten by more Australians and maybe against a stronger side it could have ended up worse for us.

1 Virgimantas Synanovičius 5/10
I would have expected a bit more. The Australians' second goal could have been avoided as the shot was made from such a difficult angle and Virgimantas seemed to have covered the goal-line.

2 Linksmutis Stupokas 7/10
I was satisfied with his performance, especially when taking into account he played full 90 mins despite having tragic stamina.

3 Jefimovas Užolas 8/10
The heart of our defense, as usual. Made a solid performance as we could have conceded more considering how empty our midfield was.

4 Rimandas Jaseliūnas 8/10
Worked well alongside his partner in central defense, wasn't weaker than him in any way. Managed to cope with the opponents extremely well after the red card of Kuniskis.

5 Meilutis Kuniskis 5/10
Several fouls and a red card - I can't be happy. Although our defense didn't seem to suffer much due to his absence, he gave the opponents a few dangerous free kicks.

6 Mironas Vuičekas 8/10
He was stopped several times by the opponent defenders, but he still gave an assist and some more great passes into the box.

(46' Slavekas Liutvaitis 7/10
He performed slightly worse than Mironas in my opinion. At leats he got an assist too in the end, but his passes were more inaccurate.

7 Vjačeslavas Šniaukas 7/10
I have to credit him for playing the whole match in our dodgy midfield as his stamina is not very high either. He made nice passes throughout the match, helping both the strikers and the wingers. Seemed to be lacking pace a bit though.

8 Kazemiras Naskauskas 7/10
He has similar skills to his partner Vjačeslavas and I think he played up to his abilities. Made a bit more defensive work which was important.

(46' Rafikas Geisleris) 8/10
One of our young stars. Definitely played a great match, giving one assist and producing many great passes. I can't honour him with a larger mark though because he only played one half. :)

9 Simeonas Žlobas 9/10
One of the best today. He was especially active in the second half - his opponent wing-back failed most of the times in stealing the ball from him. He created many dangerous passes besides the one assist.

10 Virgas Vainušis 7/10
He wasn't too bad, even had one close situation when his shot inside the box was saved by Deeley. I believe one day he will score too. :)

(46' Vytas Alencevičius) 7/10
Nothing really special either. Scored one from a Liutvaitis assist but was quite invisible most of the time, probably because of his low form. However. he will definitely be fighting with Rudis Martinkėnas for the spot when they are both fit.

11 Prakofijus Rabinovičius 9/10
A brilliant game again. This time he let the others score one too and settled with a hat-trick only instead of five goals, but I'm still glad. :) He had more goal chances but he scored just as much as needed.

The World Cup groups have now been drawn too! (not U21 :P)

World Cup - Group F

1. Lietuva
2. Slovensko
3. Danmark
4. New Zealand

I'm satisfied with the group. We've just had a match against Slovensko and lost, remember? So now we'll have the chance to take revenge. :)

PS. A poll in the International forum: Which is the Death group?

Our Group F is the only one without a single vote there. I guess we got a pleasant friendly group. :)

Lots of monsters, it's a real epidemy! Just too many good youths since 3-4 seasons...

nice game.
zlobas two nt games and two assists :)

Now training Playmaker to get more assists from him.
later technique

someone else has to train the defenders :P

Defendertraining will be very important. Maybe other U21-managers should be encouraged to give defendertraining.

I am going to give two pace-trainings, and only defender after that.

I don't want him to play more than 10 minutes [=

=( Kuniskis got a red card =(

he's an excellent player and i think he wouldn't do this again =)

Hmm, apparently some problems occurred with the elections and they have now started again. I've put my candidature up again so don't forget the chance to vote again if you support me. :P
2008-02-18 21:58:58
hmm I just thought that I dunno what place our team took this season during your leadership. So?
2008-02-18 22:42:53
What do you mean exactly? :P

I can say we finished first in our World Cup Qualifications group, winning every match.
2008-02-19 21:13:57
It seems like I don't know the system of this World Cup. Doesn't it end every season?
2008-02-20 18:28:30
The World Cup takes place every 2 seasons. This season the qualification tournament for World Cup was held to find out the 32 strongest teams that can participate in the World Cup next season.
2008-02-20 22:17:56
ah ok, you have my vote then.
Please continue doing the best you can.
2008-02-21 18:28:03
Thank you :)

I just registered us to the U21 World Cup which would be held in the second half of the season. I hope anyone isn't against playing in the U21 World Cup but if you think we shouldn't take part then tell me!
