Italia - Polska
Suomi - Lietuva
France - België
Brasil - England
Suomi is a tough opponent, but you avoid Italy.

I hope Lietuva will be ready for tomorrow's battle. I think it will be a close game, which make it worth watching it.
Good luck to Sillu!
Good luck to Sillu!
Thanks! :)
We're definitely ready, although I think it's going to be extremely hard again. I can't say much about my plans and tactics so we'll just see how it goes tomorrow

I can't do anything if our only striker is injured in the 39th minute.
Additionally, I hated the fact that they scored three goals from the assists of the winger. I know it's all my fault, I should have placed Ruckevičius more far on the wing but he was moving like a fucking turtle too
The way I see it is that we got punished by the luck we had a week ago

Lithuanian team is always unlycky.. :) Greetz for good job anyway ;)
Hi Sillu,
I still have to watch the game, but Lietuva can quit the tournament with good prospectives.
Suomi is a strong team, without any doubt. But Lietuva showed that its strikers can hurt anyone. Maybe in future defense/GK will be a point to work on. Lietuva got a lot of goals.
In my opinion Suomi can access to the final.

I can only give many thanks to Sillu for great work as our NT coach
it's a pitty we couldn't get any further, but i hope Sillu will continue his work and next year will lead us at least to semifinals.
In my opinion Suomi was just lucky.
and i'm sorry i can't see any better team than Lithuanian
:)

Thank you very much for the positive feedback :)
I'll just mention that the next match will be a U21 game against Belgium. Enzo Deroo will probably crash us but I hope we can learn a few lessons with playing against one of the best U21 teams before the U21 WC

Against Deroo ... :s I hope Uzolas has already become unearthly defender. Jaseliunas needs another few weeks to reach that level - although his form is divine since a few weeks.
I think defender-training will be very very important for some guys in view of the U21 WC.

As far as I know, Užolas hasn't reached unearthly yet.
The problem with our U21 is that we have only 3-4 decent defenders but often it's necessary to play with 5 defenders... and even when playing with 4 defenders - if some of the 4 gets injured, then we're in trouble

Don't worry, nowadays strikers are easy to stop....and they need good midfield to score goals :)
well done on a pretty successful campaign.
unlucky with the injury to the striker, i did think Lithuania were the better side.
I'm also glad to say that you have been the first Lithuanian manager to play Tanislovas Varaneckas properly in his best position and it had big benefits, just a shame it wasn't quite enough to get through

The big-scale loss to Belgium was more or less expected :)
However, I'm unsatisfied with the work of our goalkeeper (another damn slow fella but we don't have much of a choice) and the passing skills of our defenders. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it. It wasn't too catastrophic though as their defensive work was quite solid considering that they had to face probably the best U21 striker in the world and his dangerous companions. Maybe MagiC wants to share information about Stefan Dossche with us? :))
I'm not completely happy about Mironas Vuičekas either although he gave the wonderful assist for our only goal today. I don't know why he kept passing the ball back to the wing-back Meilutis Kuniskis who didn't exactly have the most accurate passes today (to put it into words in the least harmful way :P). The offensive midfielder Rafikas Geisleris seemed to have stayed out of the play too unfortunately.
Our strikers didn't have much of a chance against Belgian defenders. Both Rabinovičius and Martinkenas had only one opportunity and luckily at least one of them scored. Martinkenas has a bit better technique and pace but his scoring abilities may let him down too often.
