O yes Vilpu, when you make a foul against a striker that's breaking through, and running to the goalkeeper, you get a red card in real soccer.

They got 3 yellow cards for fouls on a Lietuvan striker that was going to face the goalkeeper. I think that one red card should have been shown.

At least we got the nice 4-1 victory over Scotland so I think the U21 World Cup wasn't too bad for us after all :)

This week we're having a U23 match against Peru

Is this decent skills for U23 defender?

formidable stamina, tragic keeper
brilliant pace, divine defender
excellent technique, adequate playmaker
poor passing, poor striker

There are some U21 defenders who are almost as good as yours. Nevertheless he's a nice player. He should get some passing though.

I agree that Lietuva played a good U21 WC. The match against Scotland was great, the one against Netherlands was good but unfortunate (2 distance shots). Keep up the good work. I don't think there are countries with so litte users that play so well.

What an insane match: 4-4 against Peru. It seemed as if Peru played with its best squad.

Lietuva was a bit unlucky in the beginning. Then the left side did some stupid thing. I'm talking about Cinskas and Zaibauakas.

The second half was far better, but Zlobas didn't reach his best form.

4-5! They took cup rules. Insane :D

Yeah, the first half was horrible but the second half was ours. Rabinovičius could have scored many more though but at least he scored exactly as much as needed.

It was a nice surprise for me as I closed the match window on the 90th minute after 4-4 and then saw that we had won the match. :)

Talking bad about Zlobas and he does the decisive assist in over time.

was that an U23 match? just curious, but i see that Lithuania played with 1 24 yr old (though he was making his NT debut).

I like Zlobas very much, but in a few occasions I expected something more. But nevertheless he was important.

Jaseliunas gave his first assist today. It was last league's match. My team won so I took the title.

Jaseliunas gave a long pass to the striker who put the ball in.

:o)

If only all our defenders could give passes like that... :)

to suttie: Indeed, it was my mistake that the 24y defender slipped in. :( It was supposed to be a U23 match.

I did not even watch the match yet :)
But his league performance was better before his injury too.
But well, he is 20 and this was u23, so his 2 assists are very nice :)

Don't tell the Peruan manager.
