Malta : Lietuva

Our 2nd game in the Quali will be tomorrow at 12 o`clock in Malta. About Malta I don`t have to write so much, we have to win really clear. And we will. So I will write a bit more about our team, because there will play some interessting players!

Lietuva: How will we play?

First of all, I give you already now the set-up for the game from tomorrow:

We will play offensiv, but surely not in a stupid way. I want to see a team that plays a fast and beautiful football.

To the players:
If you see, we will play with the B-Team on the most positions. And there are also three 22 years old players in the starting set-up. Simeonas Žlobas is a winger. He will be one of the best in the next 2 seasons; not only in Lietuva. In the attack will play a man with an unbelievable statistic: Prakofijus Rabinovičius scored in 10 matches for the Nationalteam 20 times! Thats a bether value then Kuèinskas has (52 games/ 100 goals). And also a "new" defender will play. Meilutis Kuniskis is already now ready for the "big" ones from the international football and he will defend with all his qualities to not get a goal.

These 3 "new" Nationalplayers will stay in the Nationalteam surely in this World-Cup Quali. And for this, we could also make an interview with Prakofijus Rabinovičius.

Question: Prakofijus Rabinovičius you make tomorrow your first game for the A-Team from Lietuva. What are your aims?
Prakofijus Rabinovičius: It`s clear, I have to score. My aim are 3 goals, because already on the next WC I want to play in the first team!
Question: Lietuva won the first game against Danmark, how will the Quali now continue?
Prakofijus Rabinovičius: The last game wasn`t so good. We want to play much bether against Malta. But we won against Danmark and we will reach our aim; to win every game in the Quali.

Yes, the wingers should have done today at least 5 assists!
This wasn`t good too...

Red card in their defense helped.
Zlobas brought finally brought some nice crosses.
Strikers did not score them, but it was good to watch :)
Problem was that our offensive players stood too often in offside

Yes, the red card helped us to make a nice result. Our B-Team played not really strong (like the A-Team), but I saw also some good things. Zlobas won guiet every 1/1 situation and the other 3 22years old players played good too.

Next week we will play with our first team.

Good result, but game was not so good until their defender received a red card. Prakofijus scored 4 so he has done his aim.

We played a tactic with very offensive players and Malta took us the room for them by moving their defenders to the middle line.
We have not done that bad, it was Malta who made the best they could.
If they would have given us more room to play the game would have ended much higher.

Yes, the game wasn`t so good, thats clear... Prakofijus did a good job, also if he didn`t win not 1 1/1 situation in the whole game!

Nationalteam, Friendly-Match against Czech Republic:

This saturday our team will play against Czech Republic. I wan`t to see our best team, so all the best players will play. The reason is, that we play in the Quali now against Jamaica, Bulgaria and China (each team 2 times). So its good to have a really nice test against a strong team now. It will be a really hard game, but I want to win, like everytime. I have asked the Czech Coach if we could play with 3 players that are 22 years old or younger. Perhaps there will also play again our young players from the last match against Malta :)

There will surely be an other match-preview. But this post should make you a bit interessed in this game. It will be a hard one...
