Nationalteam, Friendly-Match against Czech Republic:

This saturday our team will play against Czech Republic. I wan`t to see our best team, so all the best players will play. The reason is, that we play in the Quali now against Jamaica, Bulgaria and China (each team 2 times). So its good to have a really nice test against a strong team now. It will be a really hard game, but I want to win, like everytime. I have asked the Czech Coach if we could play with 3 players that are 22 years old or younger. Perhaps there will also play again our young players from the last match against Malta :)

There will surely be an other match-preview. But this post should make you a bit interessed in this game. It will be a hard one...

ouch... Lithuania started well, but were thoroughly beaten in the end.

i don't think Varaneckas was playing in his best position, and he didn't have much chance to influence the game from there as most of the time the ball was played past him from the back to the strikers, skipping the attacking midfielder. might be nice to see 2 proper wingers next match with both Varaneckas and Zlobas playing ;)

really bad game, tactic was bad and the players played also horrible...
next week we will play with 2 wingers.

ok

destroyed Jamaica today... 2 wingers worked well against weak opponents, with Varaneckas
picking up a bag full of assists and a record rating of 80%, and Zlobas getting his first ever goal.

But the finishing of the 2 strikers was shocking, especially that of Salomonas Ašutaitis.

I agree the finishing was very shocking.
I'm also a little disappointed about the 2 assists only of Zlobas.
I had the fealing he had about as many good crosses and passes as Varaneckas.
Only the strikers did not punch the ball in :(
Varaneckas also got some crosses from Zlobas and turned them into an assist of his own.
Thats where playmaking and the nice passing level comes handy if you are in the penalty box.
But usually I would not move the 2 wingers into the penalty box.
Let them on their winger position!
They don't have the striker skill so they are only steeling balls from the strikers.

Btw. Grats to Varaneckas first 80% rating!!
That's very hard to get for a Mid with "low" def skill!
2008-07-08 05:10:05
well Varaneckas actually does have a not-too-bad striker skill, so i have no probs with him coming in every now and then to try and get some glory ;)

I'm going to sell Kuniskis maybe on thursday if he pop, if anyone wnat to know when i put the player on TL please contact me... or if you want to make a deal i put in other time...

The player requires Pace training or technique or passing, or playmaking. Divine defender...

i say that only for not to sell to anyone who maybe is not going to train him..

byee good luck!

What going?
No word from you since weeks...

Will Zlobas get his chance against this "weaker" nation today or do you risk to play with the A team?
2008-07-19 13:30:50
Ok, you actually play the A-Team....
A big disappointment for me but anyways
Good luck

I have a question for you, why so strong team like Litueva, which will have no porblems with qualification, play with so strong squad against China? I don't understand it, because it's a risky, and if you will put a little bit worse team yo u will win howewer.

i didn't mind the lineup ;)

Varaneckas got 4 more assists and a new record rating of 81% :D

i was just curious about the World Cup Qualifying Stats to see who are emerging as the stars of the tourney so far, so had a quick scan through the stats for each group.

i was very plesantly surprised to see that Tanislovas Varaneckas is up there making a name for himself!

- He is the current leader in Assists with: 13

- His average rating of 78.8 makes him:

The 8th best outfield player (including Polish players), and
The Best outfield player (ignoring Polish players) in the whole qualifying tournament!!!

hope he can keep it up :D
