Yes that was the problem... Samutinas was slight injured too, and the 3th best striker is "bad" for this level...

yep. but if you know that the striker on the bench is only slightly injured +1 or 2 (which he must have been otherwise you wouldn't even put him on the bench and give him order to come onto the field), then this player is still better than a striker who might get injured during the match, which could be slightly injured +6 or 7 (basically useless).

also the attacking throw-ins were too predictable. again, they were the same as the other world cup matches, and again there was no threat. it seems like Varaneckas was some times accidentally taking the throw-ins, and when he did receive them, he was always marked and could do nothing with the ball.

Ole!
1 week after the bad game against Ceska our boys showed us a great game against France.
France was in the 1/8finals of the World-Cup too, and they have 1300 users! So they are a big country with a good future. This was a hard test for our U-23, because France has a really strong U-23 team.
But we won this game with 3:1 and we were the bether team. So everybody that says "Lietuva has no future, they have a too old team" should now be really calm :) Lietuva will play a good part also in the future, we have the players!

Congrats, this U23-team indeed has a future!

Yes, they have!
But we have a little keeper problem, also in the U-21 :(
