Subject: [U21] Vini_1982 & Man of Herm

2009-04-27 19:41:13
Introduction

I would like to apply for the job of U21-coach of Lietuva. Man of Herm is candidating to be my assistant.

Vini_1982:
“Hello Lietuvan friends,

My name is Vincenzo and I am 27 years old. I am a teacher in the secondary school of Houthalen, in Belgium. I teach French, and geography. My parents are Italian.

My sokker history starts in September 2006. I immediately promoted into 5th division, and also there my team won the championship easily. Then I played 3 seasons in 4th, and 3 seasons in 3rd league. My players weren’t good enough for 3rd league, so I sold and bought a few new players. I restructured my team and this helped.

I just won the championship in 3rd division, and will play in 2nd league this season. My team played with different kinds of tactics, which often surprised my opponents. I usually get excellent results, playing with a lower rated team than other managers.”

Man_of_Herm :

“Hello,

My name is Hugo and I am 28 years old. I am studying history in the university of Leuven. I’m in my last year.

My sokker history starts in January 2006. I climbed in one-and-a-half season from 5th to 3rd division, where I won the title. I didn’t promote, my league became stronger and stronger and I fell back to the middle of the league. After 5 seasons in the same league, I wanted something else and went back to 4th division. After 1 season I returned to 3th division. The first season I became vice-champion, the next 2 seasons I combined 8th finals in the national cup with a safe 4th place.

I’m not a genius in business, but I’m creative with tactics.”

Partnership

Man of Herm and I know each other very well since several years. We live not far from each other and meet regularly. After some years of experience, it is our aim to become the managers of an important U21 country. We candidate together, putting forward very clear objectives to the Lietuvan community:

1. Qualification for the U21 World Cup

Lietuva is an important country in sokker. The actual ranking is a disaster.

The U21 squad is too important for your countries’ future, and can no longer be neglected this way. We want Lietuva to become an important country in U21 too.

As you know, a U21 World Cup is up to be organized. It is our objective to qualify Lietuva for this important tournament. The drawing can be very unpredictable, because of the strange ranking. The strongest countries don’t always have a higher ranking.

To improve the ranking, Man of Herm and I will make a list of countries that we would like to face. We prefer modest countries with a higher ranking, to quickly improve the ranking and the status of the U21 squad. We also want to play interesting derby matches, that will attract the interest of your community.

Man of Herm and I have enough experience with this (U21-) level of players in the divisions in which we played. But we want to let Lietuvan managers participate in this story. We will need Lietuvan scouts, who can support us. We can make it together.

2. Love for Lietuva

Why do we apply for the job in Lietuva? Well, as you know, I’m quite active in the Lietuvan forum since Jaseliunas has become a strong NT player. I even named my stadium after him (check it out!). I usually watch the NT matches of your country.

Lietuva is a well-known NT, with a lot of top class players. It is very important that the foundation of your future – the U21 squad – is in good hands.

3. Communication

First of all we apply together, because Man of Herm and I know each other very well, and our fellowship would be an important advantage.

We speak English and French fluently, and I even speak Italian.

It is our aim to be very active on the forum, writing something about our next opponents, and writing an evaluation and comments after each game. The forum and PM’s have to become the link between the U21 coaches and the community, which is of vital importance.

We would appreciate your comments on the games, tactics and players.

In order to improve the contacts with your community, we already looked for a PR - and communication assistant. Pawel_91 is ready to help us on this matter if we win.

4. Youth scouting

Lietuva can only have a nice future, if scouting is a top priority. We want to have a lot of contacts with different managers, to know which players could have a NT future. It is important to know which training players get, and how they evolve.

The U21 squad is the foundation for the future. We are looking forward to work on it! We already promise to be active on the forum at least 2 times a week, and to work for the U21 squad every day. That’s why we candidate together, to guarantee full responsibility 7 days a week.

In this topic you can ask any question about our project.

i dont think that there is better candidate from lietuva.
2009-04-28 14:04:03
Hello,

@ Daliuss: you mean that there is no better candidate than the candidates from Lietuva, or that there are no better candidates than us?

Personally, I hope that the actual bad results don't influence. I do understand that there may be some frustration and anger about the past results.

But: What makes a manager good? That he has nationality X or Y?
Or that he has got in mind a clear project with clear objectives, putting forward loyalty, intensity and enthousiasm. There are lots of good examples of foreign managers who make a good job in another NT.

I hope that the discussion in this topic will not be about nationality, but about tactics and plans for the future. Have a look ath the variety of tactics we use in our leagues. We hope to answer several questions about that, because that's what matters in our opinion.

Kind regards

now you have no chances, i predict that sigitas will be a coach of U21 ;) maybe try to find other nt ;)
2009-04-28 14:27:24
Hello,

I read your prediction. Do you think they will vote for him because he is from Lietuva, or because people think he is better?

I hope everybody wants to find out who is the best candidate by looking at the variety of tactics, and asking questions. In Belgian forum every candidate must answer a lot of questions, and based on that, the best choice is voted.

I understand your communities' frustration about the NT and U21 NT, but I hope you vote on the candidate that you think is best, not on the one who is simply Lietuvan.

the is good enough to be a u21 coach, of course there will be some who will vote for him because he is Lithuanian

We see great differences between the tactics in the A-Liga, and the tactics used in the high divisions in Belgium.

Making a tactic for a NT is more difficult, because you have to analyze your players and put together a solid and balanced team in which the midfield part is of major importance.

We have a large experience in watching NT-games, and we think this is an advantage for us.

i told u once, ill tell u again, u have no chance, ur just waisting your time [;

@ Dumb and Daliuss:

I understand what you're saying, but we will absolutely not retire. We are convinced that our project is a project that will work.

It is a crucial period for Lietuva U21. Scouting and promoting youth school is so important for Lietuva, with its small community. Wrong choices can ruin the future, also for the senior team.

We don't see the U21 squad as a team to play with and simply win as much as possible, but we see it as an entire project of communication, youth school promotion, contacts with the community, and success. Success/status is important to attract Lietuvan users watch the games and to take and train youngsters. We'll try to achieve succes with good tactics, based on experience and many NT games that we watched and analyzed.

Let me challenge you: Why don't you try to find out who is the better candidate? Let's do this in this topic. Your country only deserves the best.
