Subject: NT: World-Cup

We are in and we have now our Group...
But before I write something about the oppunents, I want to say thank you for all the votes. It`s great and a big honor to be your coach.

And now we come to the Group:

1. Eesti
2. Schweiz
3. Lietuva
4. Slovensko

Eesti: Ranking: Number 5 of the World
It`s clear: They have a really strong team. We will have a hard match against them.
They have a strong keeper and a good defense.
In the middfield, there are some great players like Norman Lillemets. The strikers are good again, but not absolutely World-class.
In the past we have done great experiences against Eesti: Lietuva 4:0 Eesti
After this win, we went through the Group-stage and lost only against Czech Republic in the 1/8-finals.
All in all: Eesti is hard to beat. But I am sure, with a great game and good tactic, we have a chance.

Switzerland: Ranking: Number 15 of the World
I think, that we or Switzerland will be second in this Group. So the game against my home-country could be the most important. For me, its a great thing to play against them. And of course, I want to beat them :)
They have a strong team, but not so much real "stars".
In the attack, they can count on two great players.
Rico Perez is a striker, that can destroy every oppunent. We can hope, that his form stays so deep. Perez will get the balls from the winger Ambrosi Crameri. His form is deep too, and should stay ;)
All in all: We can beat Switzerland. But it needs a good game too. We won already during this season in a friendly, they are afraid of us ;)

Slovensko: Ranking: Number 24 of the World
We have to beat Slovensko, if we want to come to the next round. And we can. It`s clear: Weak teams aren`t on the World-Cup, we can lose against every oppunent.
Slovensko has a good team, but no stars that can decide a game. They will use good tactics to win the games.
All in all: Slovensko should be the weakest team in this Group. We must win, otherwise we have no chance for the 1/8-final.

They are saying that we dont have much chance against Estonia and Switzerland.I say that against Sw its about 50/50 so we have a chance to pass.They also say that this group is better than the last one when we got Poland Turkey and Belgium.

We will see what is possible.
Of course it will be hard :) Thats clear.
But I want to do it and come to the next round.

What are our chances against swiss ? what do you think?

Hard to say. Would say its really 50/50.
We have 2-3 bether players (Meldaikis, Miaso, Zlobas).
But our big problem is th defense, there we are weaker then all other teams in the Group.
So its will be important that I find good defensîve tactics, perhaps with 2 defensive middfielders.

1:1 against Slovensko.
Its not a perfect result, but its ok.
It was a crazy game, both teams got red and both teams missed a free-kick. Both teams had brilliant keepers and not so brilliant strikers ;)
So we can say that we are in the run for the next round. We have to beat Eesti or Switzerland and hope for good results in the other games.
Wow, I am already looking forward for the next weekend.
