shame about the injury....except that everything was OK, we played mostly u22 players and achieved respectable score. overall mark was higher than in first mutual game but that was because of GK high (normal) mark today, otherwise it would have been lower.

4-0 victory agains Azerbaian, would have been probaby higher if Radis didnt get 6th min red card, which left us with 1 striker

doesnt mateer much,most important is that there were no injuries for us and with 2 remaining gmaes against Nigeria and Chile and our 5 points lead, we shoud be able to claim 1st place in ourgroup.

In 2 hours we will play friendly game against Wales. They dont have any world class stars, are ranked on 53-ed place, therefore were definitely are favorite for this match. Actually Wales is od very similar quality like Azerbaian which we faced last week.

Hopefully we can win without problems and grab some points in ranking.

some sumarization

game against Cymru:

very unlucky first half:we had like 7-8 perfect chances but ended up with concede goal, red card and injury to only decent striker with form Raupenas. We have 6-7 top strikers but they are not in a shape to play, that let us with Chontas a Kuneckas who are still just too weak for top NT level and were unable to get into chances

second half was very bad from us mainly due to performance of def Pilopys, he was failing badly so many times to tackle opposing att. Fault lines in me for this, he has only 9 stamina and that was probably the reason of his weak perfomance (or his skills are not really what the owner told me)

game against Nigeria:
bad start but where we conceded a goal but after that everything went ok. Even few young very promising NT adepts get their chance
Ragalskis as GK, we really lach GKs, except Salnikovas we dont rally have a top GK
Leliasus as DEF future bg star of defense, if in form he can already play for A team
Charkcovas as MID - very promising allround MID with high defense

looking forward for next week game...to be honest I percieve the results in friendlies as real failure from my side. We were conceding a lot of goals and lost even 32nd spot in rankings so far. As to my defense I want to mention that I am trying different tactical setups in regards to formation and defence positioning. Still doesnt meant that I am satisfied with how it went.

tomorrow we face number 1 seed of our group, Chile. They didnt have any extraordinary season, still they have a worldclass team and beat any opponent easily. Expecting a reak tough match.

We currently have forst place in our group secured, that means we will be seeded from pot 1 or 2 into thw WC group. It will depend on our result and results in other groups, too.

Looking at our team, we still have some issues with ATTs (form, injury, cards), so hopefully we will be able to create enough chances and to convert them.

thx to all...match went pretty much our way. It was a tough one, but we had more chance and deserved the victory. This puts us into pot 1 among teams like Romania or Poland, so we will avoid these teams in WC group draw and theoretically will be facing a bit easier opponents Still doesnt mean anything, as there is really tiny difference between all teams qualified for the final stage

going to face Brasil in a friendly game

it will be our best team against their B team. Doesnt mean we will be having an easy time. Brasil, with nearly 4k users, can support several "B teams" equal to our quailty. Simply said, my expectations are that their B team will of similar quality to our A team.

I am going to test 2 things n this match, Miaso on a bit unusual positioning and one new player Reinoldijus Jackūnas. Player is achieving quite interesting marks in club on MID position (maybe just thx to winger positioning) but unforunately owner is inactive and I dont have clue what are his exact skills. So I am curious what will be his mark and perforamnce in NT match, he has potential to be part of the team during WC.

I am already afraid to put our best players on the pitch. Verpečinskis top striker with 14 form got slight injury. On one hand after that slight injury our performance dropped and we were not able to create so many chances, on the other hand it is only slight injury, so hopefully he will be ok

Miaso out for 20 days, hopefully he wont lose form and will be ready for the cup

Jackunas performance didnt really impress me, his mark was quite low as well...maybe I will give him one more chance, but it seems he is not good enough.

PS:at least victory and some ranking points gained :)

win the recent 2 wins against Brasil and Chile I am at least normally satisfied with how the season went. Anyway most important part is that we qualified for the World cup from the first place and will be seeded from pot nr.1 into the WC group.

I hope that you've been satisfied with my assigment as Lietuva's NT coach and elect me again so I can try to our best to win the cup.
