Subject: [NT] Nevermind

Hi everyone, my name is Onur, will be 28 y.o. on April 1st, playing Sokker since 2008, and currently working as a tech founder. I was competing in the Turkish 1st league before I had a break with the game between 2021-2023. I started to play actively again in 2023. Currently, having the joy of raising wonderkids. Even though I could do it last season, for a more sustainable economy I'll move to 1st league again after making 100m+ euros to target 1st place and a nice position in Champions League.

Since I'm back in the game and raising youths in my club, I'm looking for some competition.

Previously managed New Zealand NT's around 2017-2019 for 6 seasons. Both U21 and NT popped +10 in placements and some decent performances on WC groups during the time.

Also, while I was checking my previous NT stuff I found that New Zealand U21 (Nevermind) and Lietuva U21 (fornado) played final of the Mamma Mia Mini World Cup :) Some nostalgia: https://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/1259/ID_topic/3228899/pg/47

as I see no friendly played for the first two weeks and all the previous tactics of NT are removed, I might want to benefit some of the tactics by previous nt managers and this situation is not cool.

Of course I deleted all my tactics as it was only my tactics which I am using in my team. This is the privacy issue and if you wanted me to leave something you shall write me in private.
This is very cool and normal situation.
You as experienced manager shall just use your own tactics and develop it for the NT which has different skillset of players.

Good luck to you, this season is friendly season, you have a lot of time to develop the tactics and to get know to the players.
If you use Sokker Assistente, you can ask Terrion to add NT page to you and you will see all the players, so you don't need to work one more time in this.

I see your point and I respect.

Our best mids are very old (33 and 36 yo.) and other mids are far away from best mids' level as they are lacking pace and def. I'm not sure if we can benefit these two players in next season as their skills will probably drop significiantly considering their ages. Other positions seems alrighty.

I always saw our NT team strongest in MID position. Of course Kausynis got old, but he will still will be a leader, you will see. Izdelis also won't drop so significantly. We have great wingers.
Through last 4 seasons we developed great strikers and this is ok with our team, what I am afraid is that our defender line s not so good, because having 2x superidvine + at least outstanding tech and playmaking is very important and close to this we have only 2-3 players. I am not talking about the passing skill, which is also important, but it depends on the tactics, so i am more tech/playmaker importance guy.

Anyway, the team is great and it can compete with any team, good luck and if you manage to find the golden tactic for this squad you can do a lot!

Kausynis and Izdelis are amazing as you said and I'm hoping their skills won't drop much. Kausynis will be 37 in next season... while other mids are o.k. these two are just beasts.

today we played our first match. 2-2 draw against crna gora (35.ranking). kausynis was unable due to red card but other mids were ok.

I've used 2 different tactics for both halfs. We were almost winning 2-1 until 85th minute.

I liked def organisation and 1-on-1 counter attack opportunities of my first tactic but second half tactic shows that our team can be dangerous with a winger. I will tweak a bit second tactics def lines for the next time and I believe it will be more efficient.

Btw you were right about mids and defs, it was harder to choose 5th def than building mid line... I guess I'll try some unexpected tactics which may fit our team and make
some surprise

i was trying to develop 3-5-2 tactic, but it never was successful :D
