Schweiz U21 - Uruguay U21 4:1
We managed to reach the round of 16 after a very good match that Switzerland U21 played today against Uruguay.
The match was particularly important, if Uruguay beat us by two goals, they qualified in our place, in the hypothesis that Spain U21 should not have had emotions against Armenia. So, considering that we could miss the qualification even though we had 6 points, we treated the match very seriously, at the same level of concentration as the others were treated.
The good thing is that we won by a pretty big score, but the game was not easy at all and the three goal difference is a bit deceiving for those who didn't see the game. Uruguay are a good team who have caused problems, who at one point came close to leveling the score at 2-2 and restarting the match. They didn't score, we scored, and in the second half we preserved our game and scored one more time, and thus we won a very complicated match.
I'm glad that we reach the knockout stages again, and I hope that we will have good matches in the World Cup finals.

It will be a different game, I am sure for that. And I have need for updates for players (especially for our first team), and I am still waiting for answers from the users to whom I have already written - including the Swiss users who have players in the first team.

We managed to eliminate Spain, the world vice-champion from the last edition of the world cup. And the match was not easy at all, being the only match of the eighth decided after penalties.
Spain has a team with a higher squad than Switzerland, we knew this since the group match where we won lucky, and undeserved. In contrast, in today's match we played much better, but we were led 2-0 somewhat against the course of the game.
We managed to dynamise the attack by introducing two rested strikers, we put pressure on the Spanish defence, we managed to equalize and we had the chance to close the game in our favour, but we missed from a favorable position.
Penalties are a lottery but luckily our goalkeeper saved everything, our fittest striker scored and we managed to reach the quarter-finals after a spectacular comeback.
Compared to what the current batch has to offer, the achievements of the players are beyond expectations.. I send all my gratitude to the player owners who provided me with the qualities of the players and I was able to put together a competitive team that overcame its condition and made the whole swiss community happy .

In quarter-finals we play away against Poland U21, the best team from World Cup, who have the highest rank and better players in the competition.
It will certainly be a very difficult match for Switzerland, but that's how it is at the World Cup, no match is easy. I hope that our players will rise to the level of the opponent and the moment - the quarter-finals of a World Cup.
