Danke schön!

Yes it's official now and I LOVE it :-D

Saints moved to the brand new St Mary's Stadium in 2001 and the 32.000 capacity stadium is built in such a manner, that it can be expanded to 45.000 "fairly easily" (meaning that there is a plan for an expansion if the need arises). There aren't too many top teams south of London, so the Saints and Pompey can enjoy a rather large fanbase. The academy is well known for producing excellent players such as Wayne Bridge, Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale etc.

And because of recent results the club is very, very cheap. All in all, if Mr. Liebherr can turn around the fortunes he can turn this sleeping giant into a really great club. The whole setup is there - the club just needs funding :-)

so, basically it's a good deal for both sides! ;-)

Maybe. Let's see what Markus' plan is - I hope he has great plans for the club. He seems to be a good business man, but does he understand how to run a football club? And with Saints starting on -10 points and losing the best players, it will be a task to find a setup to keep the club in League One and start climbing back towards Premier League.

But it looks good - we now have the 4th richest owner after Manchester City, QPR and Chelsea ;-D

It was a fun year, but now it ended... R.I.P. Markus :-(
