Subject: VALUATIONS thread

ken's valuation of 500k looking more ridiculous by the minute!

I'd even suspect nearer the 4m mark than that. Especially with a pop in tech again.

Well, I wouldn't say 4-5 million as I recently bought a couple of fairly similar players for just over 3 million each.

Sergiusz Orpiszewski, age: 21
value: 372 600 £, wage: 3 405 £
club: Phils_hotspurs, country: Polska
magical form, excellent tactical discipline
bookings: injury: (19 days)

formidable stamina, poor keeper
outstanding pace, excellent defender
incredible technique, adequate playmaker
solid passing, formidable striker

Vygaudas Kromolcas, age: 21
value: 322 200 £, wage: 2 610 £
club: Phils_hotspurs, country: Lietuva
divine form, adequate tactical discipline
bookings:

adequate stamina, tragic keeper
incredible pace, good defender
incredible technique, solid playmaker
formidable passing, solid striker

So, actually, by that basis, he should be worth 3-3.5 million.

Funny thing with strikers is people see the word "magical" and it auto inflates the price.

Can safely say ken's valuation is about as useful as a £2 purchase though.

age: 21

adequate stamina, tragic keeper
brilliant pace, very good defender
good technique, adequate playmaker
adequate passing, poor striker

How much would a player with these types of skills sell for?
2008-04-15 10:19:01
Maybe I'll keep him and bump his pace a bit..
2008-04-15 19:34:04
magical tech is very expensive to buy. your players are similar in overall skill yes but none of them have the same tech level.

tech is very very expensive. When your talking those high levels of tech on still a striker trainee with talent your talking a 4mill price.
2008-04-15 19:36:07
Tech is overvalued I would say, its not as important in that matches as the price would suggest.
2008-04-15 19:37:21
I think it might depend on what angle you approach the game...i would imagine you can be lazy with tactics with such a high tech player and get away with it more?
2008-04-15 19:37:26
really really?
2008-04-15 19:41:11
dunno about that, to be honest! it think its the most important thing on the game as long as your players have a sufficient amount of the other skills dependent on what division you are in.
2008-04-15 19:48:41
Its a matter of opinion I guess, its only really useful on AM's and Stikers, and for the amount you have to pay for it, I would rather have a more rounded player with a higher sum of skills.

In the higher divisions it largely becomes pointless without other high skills to go with it, the defenders are good enough to cope.
2008-04-15 19:57:56
nah not just strikers or am's very very usefull on mids and defenders.

especially defenders, if a striker nicks the ball and he has high tech or pace then its hard to get it back. But if you have a few defenders with high tech then it makes it harder for strikers to steal the ball.

Its useful, and usually not too expensive on defenders, but not of huge importance. Its a luxury really, only worth training if the other skills are all-ready very high, its a secondary skill.

With Strikers and AM's it is far more the case that its one of the key primary skills. The effect of the high technique is far more important and damaging in the final third.
2008-04-15 20:06:25
Anyway, I think you are missing my point which is while technique is certainly very useful, with strikers I would say that it is valued too high and that you would be better to spend your 4 million on a more rounded player with a higher sum of skills.

How much if I sold this guy?

Iniesta Ruiloba, age: 20
value: 33 900 £, wage: 450 £
club: AFC Denton Sharks, country: España
magical form, poor tactical discipline

average +3 stamina, hopeless keeper
poor pace, good defender
weak technique, adequate +1 playmaker
weak passing, adequate +1 striker

I trained stamina for 3 weeks and now am training pace. Those above improvements are the improvements he has shown since he was sign.
2008-04-15 22:52:46
I think you should get what you paid for him.
