Subject: VALUATIONS thread

2008-05-15 16:39:25
I think I'll probably end up keeping him and seeing where he is at 20. I've got tech and pace training planned and he should random nicely too.
2008-05-15 16:39:56
Yeah, i'm pretty rubbish at valuations...just thinking, nearly 19, tragic tech making him not too useful at the moment.

Depends if he can find a tech trainer i guess.
2008-05-15 16:42:24
I would expect with 4 week talent that he would rise through the levels quickly in Tech and with some randoms at 20 he could be worth a pretty penny or even a pound. ;)
2008-05-15 16:43:39
You maybe right and I could be totally wrong but if trained in Tech with a couple of randoms he would look like a nice all round mid imo.

I agree with you, i just think if he was looking to sell him he wouldn't get his true value because of his tech. As long as he is training it at some point (which he seems he is) i would keep him and sell once that's gone up a bit.

Agreed. ;)

Thinking of off-loading this guy in the first couple of weeks next season.

age 20 - this will be his age after the update

formidable stamina, tragic keeper
excellent pace, poor defender
weak technique, solid playmaker
tragic passing, very good striker

Any ideas on value?
2008-05-15 21:37:01
Not a lot more than £200k-£300k i wouldn't have thought.
2008-05-15 21:39:09
Don't be so downbeat, that's about 200k more than I've got right now! :)

What do you think he could be worth?

Training Graph

Mahmood Newman, age: 17
value: 62 100 £, wage: 840 £
club: Jol-lification, country: England
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

adequate stamina, hopeless keeper
poor pace, poor defender
very good technique, adequate playmaker
average passing, very good striker

Lots now but more in a couple of qweeks imo, judging by DJ's sales lately 1.5 to 2m?

He must be right up there with the best 17 yr old english strikers, what did he come out as?
2008-05-16 00:17:54
Incredible looking at the talent graph, and according to future ATT's he's joint best with 2 others.
2008-05-16 09:06:25
But as an 18 yr old early in the season surely worth a lot? More than your other guy would you say?
2008-05-16 13:18:15
I think your valuation is about spot on fella...Quick went for £1.6m with weak pace, very good tech and very good striker and hopeless defender around mid-season.

This guy is slightly down on pace, has equal tech and striker and has a bit of defender too and is early season.

Quick was probably slightly more talented though.
2008-05-16 17:15:53
Well its about time I got something right! ;)

Victor Quick, age: 18
value: 56 400 £, wage: 795 £
club: Armitage Shanks, country: England
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

hopeless stamina,  hopeless keeper
very good pace,  tragic defender
very good technique,  tragic playmaker
poor passing,  good striker

Got him confused with Hodgson, so he's a bit better than i just said...

However i still think you're right :o)
