the main reason i asked is because i am training def this season and pace the next so i might be better off keeping him and only selling him when he's around outstanding in def adequate-ish in pace and hopefully have randompopped around the place. dunno...

I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that it's better to keep and train talented youths rather than sell them - even though I was offer 700k plus for one of mine the other week.

Yes, but what can you do with 800k these days ? :) It's great if you have them spare, but I don't seem to have any I can't train.

I sold 2 players totalling nearly £2m at the start of the season (including the junior) and I bought:
1 x keeper
1 x trainee def
1 x mid
3 x strikers
I was only looking to get out of III and stay in II with the signings, not looking for Premiership players yet so not had to spend millions on one player.

That's a nice array of talent you got with the money. If I were to hock my youths, it would probably be for 1 25 year old forward, and I would no doubt instantly regret selling the youths if they got sold on for millions later.
