Moi!
After some consideration, I decided to run for your country. It is slightly complicated given I do not speak enough Finnish to be able to communicate with you in your mother tongue and the fact that Eesti itself is lacking in decent homegrown candidates but for some odd reason about I would still rather take the challenge with you.
Now you are probably wondering who is this guy from across the sea and why on earth would he be let to run your country and you have every right to think so - I haven't been that active internationally and have barely ever set foot on this forum before. I have, though, been up to quite a lot in Estonia since my time in Sokker, having been a mod (took the kick out of the game for me, unfortunately) and as mentioned before, having lead the Estonian NT team. Success in doing so is what gives me confidence to run here now.
I do not want to concentrate on my own club because it is a completely different story than a top national team, rather giving you some facts from when I was the NT coach of Eesti 2-3 seasons ago:
* Reached the WC final
* Won every single competitive game since losing to Poland in the final
* Took Estonia to place number 1 in rankings and maintained it for 8 consecutive weeks (lost it with the loss in the WC final)
* Scored hundreds of goals and conceded far less (not so fact-ish. :])
I have been at the highest level, know what it takes to be there and am capable of learning from my mistakes, constantly improving. I did not win the second place 2 seasons ago, I lost the first, and this will be my attitude with Finland - the goal won't be to reach the quarter finals, nor semi finals, nor final, it will be to win the cup, and if elected, I would do everything in my power to reach that goal. The rest is up to you.

I understand this because I have been manager of U21 Suomi (seasons 15-17). I however would like to ask a few questions at your own club.
Why you play almost the same tactic in your league matches?
Is this the tactic what you are going to use often also in national team?
Why you relegated from Meistriliiga?
Thank you for your interest in our national team. You are very strong candidate :)

Hi, what kind of "style" are u playing, defending or offensive? I mean generaly.
You made very good job when you was leading your own NT. Are you motivated and have you enough time to do this? How active you'll be in our NT-forum if we choose you? You must have some kind of rutin what you do before the matches, what are those? =)
Why you play almost the same tactic in your league matches?
I only have 1 striker and no decent wingers yet (I started off with pace and technique for my midfielders) so my options are kind of limited. I have used 2 strikers this season a couple of times just to try and create more, and I did, but as the chances just weren't finished off (the other "striker" had solid striker skill), I dropped the idea.
I also tested a winger a couple of times and tried the Vilpu tactic so it wasn't all with 1 only. The 1 was also slightly modified from game to game.
Is this the tactic what you are going to use often also in national team?
When I was the NT coach of Eesti, I used this particular tactic once only (beat the French 5-1) and it was after the WC. I don't quite know the players of Suomi and the decisions also heavily depend on the material I could use or the opponent I face so it's hard to tell anything for sure but it will definitely be a choice.
To not get you scared, I used a lot of tactics with Estonia for testing and for getting results. There is no fear of me setting one line-up and using it every game.
Why you relegated from Meistriliiga?
Mostly it was because I couldn't find decent players from the market and sat with hundreds of millions a while, then bought the wrong players.
I sold Amar in the middle of the season and then bought him back a month later. This left me with no strikers for 3-4 games. He was also injured quite a many times which means I had no striker for close to half a season probably. I also only had a good GK. All this together meant I outshot my opponents most of the time but just couldn't score.
Estonian Meistriliiga is also the second best after Polish Ekstraklasa in terms of mark with 4 teams being capable of getting 70+. For the first half of the season, I couldn't even get 60.
I also tried to get far in the cup only to lose to Vilpu with no strikers again. It was far from convincing, though.
A big problem is that my players doesn't have max stamina and they tend to tire in the second half. In the qualificaton game, despite losing a defender to a red card early on, I went on to score 3 goals (the opponent didn't even have a single shot) just to lose 3-4 in the end with literally no chances. The same thing happened the match before and several times before as well. I acknowledge that this is also due to me playing the way I play but I find that a very low defence line doesn't create and doesn't prevent. This might prove wrong at some cases which means it needs to be tested more.
Also, I was outplayed tactically. :)
My team isn't grouped nicely. This is what I'm working on now.

Hi!
I'm definitely using a very boring and dull to watch kind of style (keep that in mind when voting) often (depends heavily on opponents strength) with crowding the area which leads to a crappy game. I won't probably be using 3-4 midfielders all the time, though, so it doesn't always happen. :)

I am and most likely I have enough time as well. It also promises to be an interesting qualification with Suomi in the second pot so the pressure is on from the start.
I'm definitely active when it comes to matches or so but I can't promise any prediction contests.
I don't have any symbolic routines before every match, there's no lucky socks or anything but I tend to leave the line-up setting late and it has had its' effects in the past. :)

To tell you the truth, I myself am against foreign managers to be elected in Estonia so I understand the possible issues but as it comes to general opinion in the end anyway, I represent an option here.
Cheers.

It would be awesome if we finally get a foreign coach! :) Most of us can speak english but there may be a few ones who can´t. So are you going to hire someone to translate your texts´ from english to finnish?
Yes, it's an issue, and not entirely in my hands to take care of which makes it a big one. I can only hope somebody offers his/her help (the natural choice would the be linguist by the way ;]) but if not, we'd have to cope with it somehow if I get enough votes.
Anyway, I'd like to encourage everybody to ask questions to help in deciding. I'm unknown so all kinds of doubts are natural but just because I'm not 'walking in the international circles' shouldn't make me worse than any other.
Oh, and. When Hells had success with Belgium, people thought he had a second strongest team. When sydval had success with Italy, people said he had a second strongest team. Same with me and Estonia - it comes with the results. I don't argue, though, Eesti of course was and is even more stronger now but this only hasn't won games for quite a while now.
Ask!

Name our best prospects (DEF, MID, ATT, GK), a few is enough. I just want to see that how closely have you been following our national team.

From the past, I know the likes of Severi Malin, Hannu Ala-Aho and Joona Leppäkangas - the latter two were probably iconic.
From the younger generation, Arsi Pellilä has been trained by Estonians and I don't expect you to have a more promising young mid. Sauli Saarenmaa was a great prospect but after MaGic, the Lithuanian manager who trained such strikers, quit, I haven't heard of him that much. Considering his value his potential must not have been fulfilled.
I know Uronen by name and Teppo Teivas (why did he not fit into Karsten's all-Finnish team?), of course, also Jokilehto (from the same generation as Saarenmaa?). Eeriksson and Vähäsaari I can remember from the 11-1 thumping against New Zealand when they looked really strong but that's, unfortunately, about it.
Ah, baikonur has some monster mids and although I know the German more, I wouldn't be surprised if he had plenty of homemade also.
To nupukka - I believe Jeeman pretty much asked the same thing the other day. Unless somebody's willing to help, there's not much I can do.
Anyway, it's all firey now. A bit more than I expected even. In the end of the day, it's up to you and you only whether to candidate or who to vote for. I haven't been imposing on you nor will I but I won't back down under criticism either.

You can speak some finnish afterall? Or was your answer to nupukka just a wild guess? ;)
Google translating? Sillä me selvitään ulkolaisen valkun kanssa. Ja siinähän se kielitaito karttuu, kun sönkkää englantia. Vanhemmat suomalaiset on opetettu kouluissa aikoinaan piloille.
