You are very experienced user and you would probably good choice for this job, but I have some important questions.

Will you post previews (along with line-ups of course) about games to the forums? And will you analyze the match after it has been played and tell us what went wrong and how did we succeed? Will you be active on the forums? That is also very important thing.

And one more thing. Do you have the motivation for this job? Why you decided to apply for this job?

My motivation is to give myself another challenge in this game. I've reached highest polish division and remained there so You could think it should be challenging enough. But playing with club is something different than with NT

In both I can use almost top players but with NT coach have much more tactical possibilities and a much wider choice of players. Another thing is that opponents - other NT coaches, are from tactical point of view unknown for me what gives a loads of new challenges before almost every match.

Because of new training plan i have no chances to fight seriously in Polish Cup and thanks to that I will have enough time to prepare properly to NT matches.

If You ask about my forum activity - it's quite notable I would say. You can see me in International forum mainly in topics about serious things good for discusion like last engine modification for example.

In polish forums I am active in NT forum, Polska Association forum and few other friendly forums.

Making topics with discusion about every important game would be one of the main activities as NT coach. Also I will try to make them funny and interesting not only substantialy related with tactics, players etc.

The only important limmitation from me is language barrier so certainly I will need help with translation and communication with Finnish users.

You started to arrange some matches already. Why did you do that even if you can´t be sure you will win these elections?
2010-07-26 10:35:46
because it is not easy to arrange friendlies with reasonable teams after elections. the truth is that almost all friendlies are arrenged about half hour after results of elections are displayed.

most of NT's have coaches who know that they will win and who have arranged most of free weeks

if You don't want to see your NT playing with low-end teams You need to start arranging before end of elections

besides if I will not win, schedule made by me can be taken by winner. i don't see any problem with that
2010-07-26 10:40:57
I understand :)

Of course it´s better to play against Poland than against Prathet Thai for example.
2010-07-26 14:58:01
currently schedule looks like this:

week 2: Italy (if Mr_Newton win - almost certain)
week 3: Danmark (Sven-Bent is certain winner there)
week 4: WC
week 5: WC
week 6: WC
week 7: WC 1/8? or
week 8: WC 1/4? or
week 9: WC 1/2? or
week 10: WC final? or Israel (anaconda is certain winner)
week 11:
week 12:
week 13:
week 14:
week 15:
week 0:
week 1:

i want also invite all Your neighbors as most of them are quite strong teams

besides, kicking neighbors asses is usually more funny :D

Current schedule looks still quite empty but overall sounds good!
2010-07-26 15:18:41
yep. mostly i'm happy about Italy

it is really strong team and even with B-squad (nobody will use A-squad shortly before WC to avoid injuries) is perfect to test our performace before group stage
2010-07-26 15:32:54
Looks like a very good schedule... Well certainly because you managed to get Italy for a friendly. It will be a perfect test to see whether Suomi is ready for the WC or not :-)
2010-07-26 15:45:52
i'm sure it is ready ;]

the only thing that is unknown for me (and all other managers) is the new engine modifications

it seems it wasn't significant changed but to find it out You need to test it against top teams imo

I tried to test it a little in my last friendly and was consulting with loczenty tactic against Italy in last NT match. Have observed some new things but I wish to do some test tottaly by myself with using of full squad.

I have the impression that there are a lot more of (useless) short passes...

Just to give an idea: what do you think about a Community friendly in week 14/15? Suomi plays against one of their most beloved neighbours with a squad that uses only players of scouts, assistants and prono-winners. A kind of reward match...

Including the previews and stuff, there can be some kind of betting competition with some NT-places as a reward.

Not totally my idea, though, Belgium did it against the Netherlands last week.

I have the impression that there are a lot more of (useless) short passes...

for me useless passes doesn't exist. if there are some it means that tactic isn't properly made and forces players to meke such ones...

about Community friendly - generally it's a good idea but it is to early to plan it wright now.
2010-07-26 16:44:54
I know that some of You are against making schedule as it is deciding for someone else if I lose

However so far i sent invitations only to managers who are almost certain winners in their countries. So it minimize the risk of potential confusion if i lose as those friendlies will be ready to confirm by the other winner.

There is no problem to cancel theme but i don't see any rational reason to do not play against Italy before groupe stage...

IMO every responsible NT coach would like to do that.

I had a big reply, but my internet broke down :-/

So in short now:
Bad tactics mostly imply bad passing, but the opposite is not true. Sometimes players just choose the wrong option by giving a useless or a wrong pass. And if the developers choose the ME to be so that players rather make short passes than longer ones, often good opportunities get lost. For example: a free winger and instead of trying a (risky) cross, your defmid chooses to pass shortly to your other defmid. After this pass is made, the defence reorganises and the opportunity is lost. If you look to the match of Poland vs Italy, you will see a lot of this situations.

That's what I mean by useless...

Another result of this is that midfielders often pass back to their defenders which gives them a lot of problems to controll the ball and give a descent pass. If they just kicked the ball forward instead of passing them afterwards, you would avoid such shameful situations.
