We'll play against South Africa, whose coach asked me to play with youngsters, and we're going to satisfy his kind request, because he's a friend and also because we have already enough injured players… so it's time to be careful and so we're going to see on the pitch players who normally aren't

WORLD CUP
FINAL STAGE - FIRST GAME
Helsinki, 2014-12-06

First game of the second part of the World Cup.
We're going to meet the powerful Germany, trained by my friend Vikingo, former trainer of our team.
This will be really a tough game, 'cause our opponent knows perfectly our players and because he's really one of the greatest manager around.
We're going to try something different in order to change the cards on the table and to take advantage of the quality of our team.

kinda remembered me of Brazil-Germany in the last real World Cup...

So, my friends, 8 months are almost gone, in a few hours the new elections will begin, so I think it's time for me to see what has been done and to prepare for the final greetings.

First of all, I want to THANK all of you for the honor you gave me, giving me your trust in managing this fantastic team. I did the best I could and I'm sorry if there were some moments at the end of december in which I couldn't be here: real life is unpredictable and things out of our control happen when you least expect them. Anyway things are better now, let's hope the navigation will keep on more smoothly...

So, let's have a look at what I leave behind:

WORLD CUP

The first 4 months have been pretty good, we won quite well our group, which -among 16 groups- was the second hardest one ranking-points-wise (10395 the sum, while the England's one was just tiny slightly harder with 10397, Eesti was third with 10267 and Italy's was the easiest one)
Schweiz and Canada weren't that easy but we did well with 8 match wins, 1 draw and 1 pretty crazy loss.
The second part was influenced by my tactic mistake against Germany. I still apologyze for that. Some strange results then, with the same Germany eliminated in the last match. We could have done better... we've been a bit unlucky, but I mostly blame myself for some tactical choices I wouldn't do now... but at the moment the looked the best ones.

RANKING

Eight months ago I got the bench right after the World Cup win, so the ranking was pretty high at 2969.22
I leave the team now at 2899.19 so 70 points less than then.
Just for reference: Romania, after the WC win is 82 points higher than 8 months ago, while Brasil, which was second in ranking is now 4th, after losing 142 points.

the DB

FIrst of all: the DB contains the best Suomi players around. I checked the wages of Suomi players in all Sokker and the best ARE in the DB.
The DB contains now 406 players overall, the 42% of which have freshly updated data. Given the U27 tournament I focused latest efforts in updating that part of the DB, so among 27yo players the 82% is updated, among the 26yo the 74%, while the numbers are lower among the elder players.
