Subject: Dog names

Happy new year finnish friends! :) I'm getting me a dog soon, and I'm really in need of a good name for it.

- She is a Lapponian herder (Lapinporokoira)
- She will not have a people's name (I'm not naming my dog Churchill or Stalin or whatever)

I would really like a finnish-sounding name (or even better, a finnish dog name), because of the obvious ancestry and connections with Finnish Lapland.

Any good names will be rewarded with a beer (or even some Kossu) if you ever go to my part of Norway, or if I ever go to Finland.. :)

Thanks in advance! :)

Free translation is "nasty" or "wild"

"laplands furious" is close to the real name or nick

Ah, I see. Is it possible to use the term "Hurja" by itself, or does it need to be a part of another word?

Also considering Aila, which like "Hurja" sounds nice in Norwegian as well :)
