Subject: [U21] Demont

Hello all,

Probably most of you know me already, because I was the coach of your NT last season and because I'm a follower of Slovenia in Sokker since many seasons.

I decided to apply for the position of U21 coach, because I'm a bit worried about this team. This season, only 4 matches have been won. This is not because Orange-Slo is not a good coach, but because the players seem to be not good enough. The players of the U21 are the future of the NT, so it's important to make sure that the young talents are developing well.

The Slovenian U21 is not in the WC, so the next season will be a quiet one, with only friendly matches to play (maybe there will be a Mini WC, but this is not sure yet).
I will try to improve the team as much as possible and make sure that the Slovenian talents get the right training at their clubs. I will also do as much as scouting work as needed (maybe with some help?).
And offcourse I'll also try to win as much matches as possible to improve the current ranking of the U21 team.

Week 07: Hayastan U21 0-1
Week 08: Ukraina U21 0-2
Week 09: Sakartvelo U21 2-0
Week 10: Shqipëria U21 1-2
Week 11: Costa Rica U21 2-0
Week 12: Pilipinas U21 1-4
Week 13: Al Maghrib U21 2-1
Week 14: Nigeria U21 13-1

I'm not happy with all matches, but I think the overall results were good enough this season (semi-finals in the Mini WC). Slovenija U21 is one of the weaker countries in sokker at the moment, but we improved the ranking position this season. I have also been able to do a lot of scouting work (besides the NT Database, I also have my own excell file with around 100 players). For example: I'm checking the transfer list and transfer advertisements almost every day to find unknown or new players.

Next season will be a very difficult one. There will be U21 qualification matches against some stronger teams, so Slovenija will lose these matches for sure I'm afraid. Especially because some strong midfielders will turn 22 years old and we have no real substitutes for them.
However, the long term future looks a little bit better. There are some promising 17 and 18 year old players and I would like to continue to work with them and their managers, to make sure that the position of Slovenija U21 will improve in the coming seasons.

Hopefully I will get the chance to continue my mork. Please feel free to ask any questions. Other suggestions or remarks are also very welcome offcourse.

I would like to announce that rohamkacsa will be the scout for the next season(s). He has already a lot of experience in this role.
He will also be responsible for the U21 database.
