In a week, 9 players from bots will be added to the transfer list. These are not players with a guaranteed future in the national team, but something can still be made out of them. Since I have reached the maximum number of Slovenians in my squad, I need to sort them out to determine which ones will be more useful for the national team.

A two-week silence, and during that time, two victories: 4:2 against Canada and a successful rematch with Cyprus, 4:1. We are still fighting for a position that secures a spot in the 3rd pot for the draw before the qualifiers. It’s not an easy path, but everything is possible. If I’m not mistaken, there are 4 matches left until the draw and 3 opponents ahead of us. Who would have thought that by scheduling the fixtures, I’d play against Scotland in the 10th week, a team that is my neighbor in the rankings. Important points to be earned, but the opponent is tough and stronger on paper. Even a loss doesn’t rule out the chance of securing 48th place by the 13th week.

That's right! A victory against Scotland, and we're still in the game. Another set of points added to the ranking, which is very satisfying. I'm happy with how the match played out—of course, there were some missed opportunities, but I can't complain. Well, maybe it's a shame about the late goal we conceded.



This Saturday, we face Russia, a team that surprised everyone this season by eliminating a strong Hungary in the World Cup. The Russian squad is very strong, and they are our toughest opponent this season. However, we believe in a positive result and in securing a few more valuable ranking points!

Today, a very important player is leaving the youth academy of NK PATRIOTI, a club managed by Klemen. He is a top 2 ATT U19 and the future of Slovenia – Janez Horvat. I believe that from today, he will start training at full capacity. I hope Klemen won’t be mad that I’m posting this here :)

RUSSIA 3:0 SLOVENIA

Unfortunately, we are losing 3-0 to Russia. I feel a total sense of disappointment because we deserved a draw in this match, but the goals only came from one side. We were an equal opponent to the Russians, but the score doesn’t reflect that. We are losing a lot of ranking points, and the third pot is slipping away.

I've been struggling with my thoughts for some time. Even though my plans were different, I have decided to end my work in Slovenia this season and try my luck in the country where I live. I have been waiting for this moment for many seasons, and there is a chance that I will succeed and be able to train my own youth players for the national team.

I believe that I will secure the third pot for Slovenia this season, and the next coach will have the opportunity to fight for Slovenia's first-ever qualification for the World Cup.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity, and I apologize for this sudden departure. However, the prospect of leading Norway and training players from my own academy for the national team is stronger
