Subject: [NORGE] Landslag
Well...
I should report sth about the tactic I decided to play in this match....
Assumptions:
*Italy plays like against Hrvatska or Srbia&Montenegrp
*Italy atacks mainly in midfield
*Italy defs are faster than our strikers
*of course I could have played with 5-5-0 tactic and only try to reduce the number of goals conceded. But this is not my style. ALL OR NOTHING. If I were to lose... let it be after the fight.
Now the tactic:
*4 defenders, because Italy varied their way of atacking - they play wide
*1 def-mid playing as def, to reduce chances of scoring from the distance
*wingers playing very wide:
- to hold the ball and save time ;)
- Italy concentrated their attacks in the middle sectors - ok, our defs were to do the job it anyway :]
- there were free sectors there. As our players lack technique, the only chance to make our team play was.. to avoid 1 on 1 fights :) Also when there's a player without any covarage, others intend to direct there their passes.
- wingers were intended to have some pace, playmaking, defending and passes - just to get the most of the handicap of not being attacked buy the opponent.
*Gilje ... playing as mid, not def-mid.
This were supposed to give us chances to score. The plan was: intereception and fast pass to one of the strikers.
*strikers playing very near each other. I thought this is the only way to score something :]
A couple of hot questions :
*why did Skaug play ?
He's the fastest striker currently.
*why Skogheim as def/mid ?
He has some technique, defending and (most important) pace. I knew it wouldn't be the best option, but don't have another Gilje. A def, so that he didn't think before kicking the ball.
*why there were no substitutions in Norge ?
Substitutions were intended only if we were losing 2 goals or more ;)

Good luck! Being seeded in the second group would really help the teams chances of qualifying for the world cup.
actually i dont think norway has any troubles with that.

yeah, ur probably right to many games against weak teams as seden and norway :D
