We found a train. Instead of leaving 6am tomorrow, I'll be leaving 6pm... tonight!

Shirts are in the washing machine and I never got that shave... cool!

Tomorrow gonna be crazy, expecting around 50 - 100.000 people manifestating @ Brussels, that's why airplanes stay closed I've hard. Transport will also be a problem. Wednesday the 29th aka chaosday

there isn't a connection between the manifestation and the strike of belgocontrol. about 90%-95% of airtraffic is back on shedule (except flights to spain due to another strike in spain...)

In the end I got a train from Aalborg - Cologne - Bruxelles to Ghent, and it was a nice trip. 16 hours but still nice...

For beers we went to De Dulle Griet at Vrijdagmarkt (thanks bompadirk!). St-Feuillien Blonde is a remarkably good beer, I think. For food we went to Amadeus at Plotersgracht. Even though they mostly seem to do spareribs, I went for Waterzooi as it's supposed to be very "Ghent". A tasty dish that requires a lot of technical skill to consume! Chicken, potatoes, everything disappered in the soup all the time ;-)

I hope to be back in Ghent another time as it was an extremely charming city. And a country whose primary competencies are french fries, chocolate and beer will always be worth visiting ;-)

ah, you are welcome!
Glad you enjoyed "my" lovely city. I studied in Ghent and never left :-)
The more you know of it, the more charming it becomes.
