Last month, Perez said Real Madrid would need to borrow money to finance its purchases this time. Madrid had debt of 563 million euros in June 2008, according to its latest published accounts. The purchase of Kaka and massive bid for Cristiano Ronaldo will not lead to Real Madrid being burdened by a huge amount of debt, new president Florentino Perez was quoted as saying on Friday.

He added that Real generated enough revenue to cover these massive transfer market investments, with more expected to come, without him having to use his own funds.

Elk gezond groot bedrijf heeft trouwens schulden, niks mis mee.. Zo lang het geld niet van de overheid komt.

Zoals we kunnen merken, staan clubs als Real tegen juni steeds op -400 à -600M. Dan is het wachten op de nieuwe abonnementen, sponsorgeld, tv rechten, marchendising etc. en zo maken ze het vrij rap +/- goed. Hun stadions zijn dan ook 3x groter dan de Belgische en 1.5 tot 2x groter dan de meeste uk stadions.
