25 year old Dutch forward Robin Van Persie has not renewed his contract with Arsenal and is considering leaving the club for a new challenge. Media sources in England are claiming that Manchester United are interested to sign him.
30 year old goalkeeper Mickael Landreau will leave Paris Saint-Germain and is keen to move to Spain. He is tracked by Getafe, Espanyol and Atletico Madrid.
After cancelling the signing of FC Porto's French left-back Aly Cissokho yesterday, AC Milan Chief Executive Adriano Galliani told local media sources today : "The medical tests showed Aly has a problem with his teeth which could lead to injury. But, we still hope he can recover. Therefore, I think we can send Aly back to FC Porto, but on loan with the chance to sign him next year. Now we are negotiating with him and FC Porto. If they will not accept my proposal, we will not sign Aly".
The alternative for AC Milan could be signing 25 year old right-back/winger Emmanuel Eboue, whose contract with Arsenal is about to expire.
Andrei Shevchenko does not want to return Chelsea now thathis loan period at AC Milan is over. The way out for him could AS Roma, whose coach Luciano Spalletti sees him as a suitable alternative to Mirko Vucinic (who is one of AS Roma's key players, but could be sold to ease the club's financial difficulties). AS Roma could sign Shevchenko on loan.

A final blow for Liverpool is news that their "accepted" offer for Portsmouth's Glen Johnson may have fallen through after Chelsea matched their £17.5 million bid. It is understood the right-back would favour a move to Merseyside but may be swayed by the offer of higher wages at Stamford Bridge.

The David Villa saga appears to have taken a huge twist this afternoon after his agent has revealed that Valencia have declared he is no longer for sale.
The forward was thought to be on the verge of a move to Real Madrid but this looks to be in doubt now and he could stay on at the Mestalla.
Marca reports that the news filtered in this morning when Villa's agent Jose Luis Tamargo met with Valencia president Manuel Llorente to discuss a move to Madrid.
The intention of Tamargo was to start from scratch and to try and reach a deal that both Valencia and Madrid could agree on.
However, the outcome of the meeting was very different as Llorente told him that Villa is not for sale to any club.
Tamargo has now released a statement that explains the situation they are in, and that Valencia have indeed changed their mind.

Arsenal have confirmed that they have signed Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax this evening, with the Dutch club reporting the deal is worth €12 million.
Manchester City have apparently agreed an £18 million deal to sign Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn Rovers this summer.
> Ze beginnen het te leren bij City, na Barry nu Roque onderweg*. Gaan voor de sub-top is beste dat ze kunnen blijven doen.

Heb die al altijd een superspits gevonden Roque. Jammer dat hij niet echt kon doorbreken bij Bayern. Daar speelde hij als sub van Elber en Pizarro.
In die tijd vond ik Bayern een zalig team om mee te spelen tijdens PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) en ISS (International Superstar Soccer).
AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani has announced that he could not strike a deal with FC Porto over French left-back Aly Cissokho.
AC Milan do not want to keep Cissokho for next season after finding out he has a mouth infection which could lead to injury (as previously reported). Galliani proposed a loan deal (i.e. not cancelling the signing, but keeping the player at Porto until June 2010). FC Porto refused to take the player back on loan as they prefer selling him on a permanent basis. Under those conditions, Cissokho remains a Porto player.
In addition, Galliani said : "We might end up not signing any new left-backs. We already have Gianluca Zambrotta, who can play on both flanks and Marek Jankulovski".

La Blaugrana will offer the Reds €41.5 million for the Argentina international midfielder...
Although La Blaugrana are expected to meet Liverpool's demands, they may well test the Premier League club's resolve with a bid of €23.7m (£20m) plus a player, possibly highly-rated young striker Bojan, in the first instance.

Manchester City Face Competition From Milan For Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o – Report
It was previously rumoured that the Cameroon international striker was close to completing a move to Eastlands...
According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mail, Serie A giants Milan are looking to hijack Manchester City's move for Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.
On Thursday, it was reported that the Citizens were close to tying up a deal worth €35.2 million (£30m) for the 28-year-old, while on Friday it was claimed that a €29.3m (£25m) transfer was in the pipeline. ...
However, the Citizens' mega-offer has apparently convinced La Blaugrana to cash-in now. Indeed, their offer to pay around €226,000-a-week in wages after tax (£192,000) is thought to have tempted Eto'o.
While Milan may not be able to equal City's bid, it is believed they are hoping to persuade the 5ft 11in forward to move to the San Siro regardless, using their glittering history as a draw.
Inter are also said to be keeping tabs on Eto'o, but they have apparently failed to launch an official enquiry so far.
