UK newspaper The Sun reports : Manchester City thought they had a deal in place when the Spanish giants accepted a £25million offer for the Cameroon hitman. Eto'o agreed wages of £200,000 a week - after tax - but knows Barca are keen to cash in now with just one season left on his contract. So he is holding out for half the fee Barca receive, arguing they could lose him for nothing as a free agent next year. Now City have decided enough is enough and want a definite answer from the Spaniards in 48 hours. City head to South Africa for their pre-season tour late next week and would like Eto'o by then. Barcelona claim the player is ducking their attempts to talk. President Juan Laporta said: "I've called him but he hasn't picked up the phone."

After today's eight-hour long negotiations, Genoa and AZ Alkmaar have failed to reach an agreement for 22 year old Belgian forward Moussa Dembele. It now seems that Genoa could give up on signing him.

Far from paying the €80 million Bayern Munich want for Franck Ribery, Barcelona intend to lower the fee by offering Eidur Gudjohnsen and Aliaksandr Hleb in exchange.

dat is een goede deal, hleb kan zeker als vervanger gelden, en gudjohnson kunnen ze daar ook nog wel zetten

Juventus Don't Want Grosso Anymore

Lyon full-back Fabio Grosso has a transfer target for Juventus in the last few weeks, but the Bianconeri have decided they are covered in the left-back position, with Paolo De Ceglie and the recovering Cristian Molinaro.

> ook aan deze soap komt een einde. Eerst twijfelen tss Grosso en Dossena, om dan niemand te signen :)

nog geen spitsen genoeg at City, denk dat ze gewoon alle PR spitsen willen kopen, om zo hun tegenstanders te verzwakken.

Manchester City To Offer Arsenal Striker Adebayor 5-Year Deal
Manchester City's negotiations with Arsenal and the player's representatives over a potential move for Emmanuel Adebayor from north London to Eastlands are now at an advanced stage, according to Sky Sports News, with the Citizens about to offer the striker a lucrative and lengthy contract, should he decide to switch in a deal now reportedly worth £22 million.

Adebayor can expect to earn something in the region of £170,000 a week at City, an amount that is apparently double what he currently earns at Arsenal.
