ha, dan is het goed;)

Mooie wedstrijd van de belgen. Maar spijtig genoeg waren de italianen iets beter.
Mooi parcours van de bondscoach en zijn staf;)

I just watched the game and... I really don't know if I have to be happy or if I should cry...
Their strikers have been awful (for us) in the 1st half causing lots of damage (what a player Ontani !!).
Then we lead twice and takes 3 times stupid goals, what am I saying ? unforgivable goals
Dupré : bad control, ok it happens
De Vos : some pinball in front of the goal, ok it happens even if this hurts.
Bossaert : ... pass into behind him in the legs of the striker who has offside (of course he is not as it is bossaert who did the pass and not an italian)

And despite we're lead 2-3 and have a red in our team we manage to draw and finally lose during prolongation !!
With a bit more luck we would be in final.

yep.
I wish a better luck for my successor in the next WC campaign :)

Looking this from behind ("avec un peu de recul", en français dans le texte) I think this part of the WC campaign wasn't too bad. We had some trouble at the beginning with really a lot of our best players unavailable + the fact I lacked of experience at the international plane (thank you to tbeirke, langhe and Hells who helped me a lot) but our squad is very though so we had the necessary resources to face the problems.
We lost this match on the edge of the razor with nearly our best squad (just Ryan Rober and Tuerlinckx missing) against the best team of the moment and we fought well.
I promised we would fight until the end and we did it. I think this match was the final before the final and Italy deserves the victory too because they had a lot of dangerous occasions and they had the team built up to win this WC. Too bad for us but the next one will be ours ;)

Now I will concentrate on the last friendlies, I will try to win those matches and rotate the team at the same time. I will keep scouting to find the best player for my successor 'cause I won't re-elect next season. It wasn't my plan at the beginning but my advisor gave me much more work than expected for my master thesis so I prefer to keep more time on what is more important for me.
But don't worry I'll try to make some interesting games to keep the community living around the U21 squad :)

See you next week for a friendly against Lietuva ;-)

beaten on quality. Their strikers are unstoppable, nothing you could do about it and ofcourse a red card doesnt help either.
