Hello mates,
We will play an important friendly match against Bulgaria this week. Bulgaria is a strong team which is likely to see next season in WC.
As you imagine the match will be played with all U20 player. Me and my scout royaltrainer have done a great job on the DB especially for the U20 generation.
Now the DB have a good number of U20 player that at the beginning of the season there were not. The important thing is to be ready on the first match of the WC.
As all friendly matches, I'm not so interested on the result (even if I want to win) but on the way we will play: this is the most important thing in a friendly.

Despite the result I think that we played a good match even if not perfect. For this match I prepared a quite strange tactic because I knew that they play with a very high defensive line with 5 elements, for this reason I have prepared a tactic with 3 strikers and 1 wing to improve the goal occasions.
Our first tactic was not so bad, because our strikers arrived 4-5 times vs their gk even if they wasted their opportunity. The problem was the defensive line that does not work as I imagined. Also the 2 defensive mids are not so complete for this tactic. The wing have created some good opportunities but was not so fast and many times he losts the ball.
The tactic in the second half was more balanced and in fact we have created more occasions and the goal immediately. Our strikers wasted some very good occasions 1 vs 1 against their gk. Probably because they have not a very high form, even if it is improved during the recent weeks.
Conclusion: the result is not ok for me because I don't like to lose, but the opponent was very strong (almost the same average score than us) and I have collected some useful starting points for next tactics.
Next week we will play against Venezuela: if we will win we are qualified to WC as first team in our group. So the objective are the three points, without so much experiments.

Finally we have also won against France for the second time. I'm quite satisfied of this result, even considering that we arrived 3-4 times 1vs1 against their gk.
At the end this is the final result of our qualification group:
I think that we have played a good qualification stage: 42 goals scored, only 3 goals subject, and 6 more points than France are good statistics. It would be better if we had won with full score but a tie in 10 matches can happen. I hope you are quite satisfied of my job so far.
Now we will have a series of U20 friendlies untill the 3rd week of next season. Next week we will be against Lietuva if they will accept my invite.
Anyway I'm just thinking to next season and in particular to WC. This is my objective. We will see how to prepare the next generation!
