I believe that coach's are coming and going and for the future of the NTDB is a must.

I introducing it in Israel 2 seasons ago, and it makes our U21 first coach life really easy, and it will make the life of the upcoming ones easy too :)

But please tell me, that you won't rely on the NTDB only..?

In my experience you need to keep your own spreadsheet on the side to make sure, you don't miss out on all those players, who'll not be in the NTDB - or at least won't be updated.

The NTDB - any NTDB - is only as useful as the managers allows it to be. And unfortunately they're all a bunch of lazy bastards. :)

I don't really know how familiar you are with the New NTDB,
But after using it for 2 season, I can say that its much much better then to run your own spreadsheet :).

Here is a screen inside of the New NTDB, and as you can see its allow the manager to see the last update of the players, the current form and weather if he have been put for sell (TL or TA).

I deal with the problem of lazy coach's that doesn't really like to update there in Israel NT too, and when ever I saw a player that his coach didn't update him for more then a month, I sand a reminder mail and ask him to send me his skills and update the NTDB, after his replay I check there and if he didn't do the update, I am doing it manually.

Beside from that, every user that see nice young player on the TL or TA and use Fire Fox, can update them easily by clicking on the flag (usually I go over those transfer option every 3 days and add player by my own).

At the end, its have all the fetcher's that a spreadsheet got, but will stay for ever (or as long as the web site) and will be a great tool for the future of the NT.
