Yes I agree on that one.

The defeat is ok, but its the way we lost that worries me the most. I really miss seeing some variation tactic-wise, its too easy for our opponents to shut down on especially our wing attack. And it would really help if we had a closer look on the throw-in situations, we have to be even more effective on those.

Well, if we look on the bright side we still have a good chance to qualify.

Yes I agree too. This team plays always with the same tactics without pure midfielders. Guy used 5 (not in line) defenders + 1 defensive midfielders and 2 (very near) strikers + 1 offensive wing... in the end he uses only 1 pure midfielders.

If I could do some positive suggestion, I suggest to use 4 in line defenders, 2 large strikers (for more changes in long passing) and 4 midfielders. For them is possible to use a lot of different configurations about defensive, offensive and wing midfielder... it depends from the opponents.

A deserved defeat, unfortunately. Poor tactics and team selection, I thought.

=====================

The tactic was not good enough, and our wing backs was little to high, but their winger was covered most of the game and the only assist he had came after he steal the ball from the wing back legs.

And about Eeg Jensen, If he had less tech and more def/pace he was much more suitable to play.

I dont think that they close our wing attack more then it was done before, and Ivar and after Pesser had some great crossing opportunities, as you can see from our previous match`s, our strikers have a lot of probables when they have one on one chances against decent keepers (in this match they had 3-4 chances like that and miss all), so crossing is the better option imo.

Our other main problem is the low pace of our defense, fact that doesn't allow me to let them play higher ,and let our young mids became more effective.

And yes, we still have have a chance to qualify (our match against Bulgaria is month from now, so I hope to see some pace pop till then:)

Next week we will play friendly with our u20 against Sweden, and the week later will be free.

What about new tactical experimentation? For example trying to use 4 in line defense in order to have a stronger midfield? It seems that Sweden uses it too...

Well im training major pace, so hopefully Ivar, Jess and Glen will get some speed soon. :)

*SPOILER*

Nice win today, Guy!

Its always a pleasure to beat Sweden. :D

Nice to see some new idea's tactic-wise. We did'nt have that many chances, but sweden has a great team and its good to see that we scores on 50% of the chances that we produce. When you make a new tactic, theres always room for improvements... of course. Last week we were a bit hard on you, but today I believe you should be proud of yourself.

Really good job!

Our counterattacks looked real decent today - and great to see some sharpness up front. Why hasn't your own U21-striker Malte Berg played every game this season, guy? He looks like our best player.

One small point: I would like to see someone with better defending qualities at def. midfield. My man Jeppe played poorly, because he wasn't able to win the ball in midfield - and his passes were poor - really hard to explain why, though.

Congrats on the win - allways great to see us dishing it out to the Swedes :D

Nice to see that you made like my suggestion. Congratulations for this tactical victory!

why get romeo bøsselykke not a chance on a U20 team, maybe like a sub?
2010-01-10 08:47:44
No particular reason,
We have 5-6 strikers that are equal,
He will probably will get his chance later this season (depend on his evolution)
:)

Malte was amaze today and was very accurate,
He just close the gap with Hector (21yo),
so if his form will raise,
he will become a starter.

I wise I had someone else at the U20yo to put as def/mid, but I have only one that have at least good in all the secondaries and with over v.g defense (and he played as DEF)

I think that Jeppe had to cover too big area alone, and had to run after the ball to many times,
instead of being much closer to the Swedish Mids and steal the ball .(I didnt thought that they will play with 5 wide Mid)

I think that we deserve the win today,
and even with a Hugh mistake with the subs (O. Hartmann was suppose to replace M. Due and not Ivar), we had better chances to score.
2010-01-11 16:28:10
I think we was the better team in this match.
2010-01-11 17:36:53
Yes but we don't!

:D
