Dear friends,

I've decided to join your elections and run for the job of your U21 coach. I've been running for the job of Finnish U21 coach but the community did not communicate with me - which is a big barrier for me as national team is in my opinion primarily meant for the community and I couldn't be happy myself.

Let me introduce myself. I am 22 years old student of computer science. I like doing sports, playing the piano and chess and of course, I do like Sokker. I've started back in year 2007 - my beginnings here was rather painful as I am not a good bussinessman. I've relied greatly on tactics since the very beginning and therefore I think I am quite experienced in it.

I have a lot of experience with national teams. I've spent most of the time being the coach of Cyprus (6 seasons if I am right). I've always liked challenges - and Cyprus gave me such. It is a small country with few active players - however miracles can happen (such as beating Slovakia this season). As I've already said, the job of the coach of a national team does not only mean setting the lineup and tactics. It's mostly about the communication with the community. In Cyprus I used to help the users if any help was needed (of course if it was in my power). Let me give you a short review of my career:

- Playing in probably strongest league in Czech Republic
- Gold and Silver from the Czech Cup
- One season in the highest division

- 3 seasons as a U21 coach of Cyprus
- 3 seasons as a NT coach of Cyprus
- 2 seasons as a NT coach of Czech Republic
- 3rd place with Cypriot team in WCQ group (ahead of eg. Peru or Panama)

My vision

I would like to get back to the U21 team which has a special spirit. It is about tracking players a lot and taking care about their training. And sometimes to negotiate about some transfers.

I've developed a tool for helping in this case. Using this tool I can find all the players of certain nationality and make sure that nobody will be forgotten. Like that many players were found in Cyprus :-)

I want to let the community look under the hood. Of course, leading a national team is the responsibility of the coach (and I am fully aware of it). But I think it is healthy to discuss particular decisions with the community, showing the match preview and match analysis as well.

The goal of this season should definitely be to qualify for the World Cup Finals :)

Thank you for your questions, comments and votes :-)

Yours

2 seasons as NT coach of your own country which is at level with denmark and other nt duties, and wanting to train our U/21 is nice for me to see..... but i want to know if you get elected, will you then go for a long run or are you thinking in a term of 2 seasons???

Nice that you got a scouting tool, it works like the old dream team site?? :)

It must be up to people if they want a dane or an experienced coach.... why do you think people should prefer you??

(if you need help with anything translated on forum, just say)

Being an U21 coach is a nice job with a lot duties and commitment. Therefore it is not just about 2 seasons. After all when you start involving in a U21 team you have to focus on the young generations (that means 19 years old and less) even if they are not yet ready to compete with their older friends. This is the future of the national team and it is always nice to see fruits of my job - however you have to wait few seasons for them :-)

In case I would have to quit once (although I am not thinking about it now), I would definitely try to remain a advisor of the new coach. It is good for continuity and also for the new coach who is having difficult times in few first weeks of his job. When I was quitting Cyprus, I was always making sure that the team will be in good hands afterwards and I was always open to any questions from the new coach and I've remained active on Cypriot forums as well.

That scouting tool is similar to the old Dream Team Web - however there are just selected countries and selected stats (eg. it isn't important to track league tables). Like that I am able to continue to run it even with not much budget involved :-) However I have to make an update in my scripts to introduce new functionality which I will start working on in the next weeks hopefully when my very last exams will be over.

I think that my main advantage is that I am always experimenting with the tactics which is very important for the job of the coach of a national team. You don't have any space for trading and building stronger team - that is job for others and you can just coordinate it a little bit. Furthermore I am not a newbie on a international scene - I am therefore fully aware of all organizational things and I know I can handle them well :-)

Thank you for your questions and for the offer of linguistic help :-)

Thx for your reply....

I see you as very qualified, maybe even overqualified for the job..... good luck in the campaign

Thank you, mate! Good luck to you too :-)

Are there any other questions you want to ask me? :-)

No, we are like Finland :)

I'd like to know how "II.02" is probably better than "První Liga" (not that it matters at all in terms of being qualified for a job nobody really wants)

Last season, we used to have really huge races in the average marks of teams in our league. Almost every team was playing with a squad which reached average marks of 67+ and the strongest team in our league had marks even over 70. (The best one who has been promoted to the První liga has been playing even with a team that reached impressive 74)

Our first division was somewhat weaker from this point of view - the best team hardly ever went over 70. Moreover playing a division just below the top is much more demanding - you see that all the teams are willing to grab the first place and get to the top. That's the exact opposite from what I observed in the first division - there were the same teams for many seasons and I saw clear lack of motivation and touch with the Sokker reality.

The things might be changing. Some teams in our league (including me) are about to rebuild their teams so it might quickly become "an average league". And some changes are happening in the 1st div as well - there are just 3 old fashioned managers now :)

Thank you for all your votes! It's time to start working hard so I won't write long speech at the moment. Just a quick question: We have 6 free weeks in our WCQ schedule. Are there some teams you would be particularly interested to play with?

Once again thank you for your support! :-)

Thank you!

Sweden is already in the schedule (it will be probably a U19 match however both me an Spanb have to make some scouting first), I've asked Kaffedivaen for a match with Norway - I hope he will accept :)

The schedule looks like this so far:

Danmark U21

week 3 Norway?
week 7 Sweden
week 11 Czech Republic
week 14 Finland
week 15 free
week 0 Germany
