Subject: [nt]bballmaster2
I have voted for bballmaster2 before, and this time I have done so again. I really think, you deserve the chance to coach the danish national team!
Good luck in the election.
Good luck in the election.
So we meet again, mr. bballmaster2... :)
First of all:
Nice to see you give it a go once more! It's always nice with some real competition for the seat as nt-coach.
Then:
One thing concers me a bit about your electionspeech - That you use so much space explaining how the community should and especially should not react when loosing.
I know from the experience of every Danish nt-strech so far, that you'll never have to deal with a grumpy community, as long as you show respect and keep a positive tone yourself. I simply cannot remember that something like that has ever been a problem. :)
Why do you find it important to emphasize so much in your speech? - Instead of speaking about your views on tactics, what you can do for the community or something like that?
Also:
You also spends some space talking about previous achievements. But is it not true, that:
1) You've always had one of the strongest squads in New Zealand, simply by beeing one of the first active users (like myself in Denmark for example)?
2) New Zealand is nt-player-wise much stronger than expected from a country of this size? Especially in the all-important offensive line you've got stronger players than say Denmark. And you guys are always complaining about bad luck when loosing to even much bigger nations? :)
And finally:
I'm a bit concerned that you haven't arranged a friendly for 5 weeks during the late part of the season. How come? Are you ready to put in the effort needed by the Danish nt-team and community?

What are the planes for the communtiy part, wich we danes see as a very importent part of the dansih national team
(this question is asked as a interestet player and not for ruining your election, so i look stronger :) )
Your'll properly get wotet anyway, but if someone should be the coach at this moment i will say that you are the most (dont know the word, but i guess you will undestand :)

1) I know I've been around longer then most teams but that doesnt mean I must be first every single time. If I lose it will only be losses against Barhilo or the occasional one to unbelievers. He is a strong opponent. The first few premier victories were much easier for me (superbot hard time) But recently it has been a tougher premier.
2) I know New Zealand has a good team boasting some good players. Some of us do complain when we lose. But check all the NZ threads once more. Did you once see ME (bballmaster2) complaining? Check the denmark vs new zealand thread. I dont think I commented once there.
I dont 100% agree with the comment new Zealand has some better players then denmark. If I agree with that comment, I would have went for nt coach of New Zealand already =P
Why do i emphasize so much about that. About luck and not complaining so much to the nt manager. It's from experience mate.
Ive seen many lucky performances by New Zealand and many unlucky ones as well. Each time I try not to comment in the thread because deep down I know New Zealand has been lucky or not lucky.
example. New Zealand beat Italy. The next week they lost to Turkey.
Which leads to my second point. Please look at the new zealand forums and you will understand what i mean. Sometimes I feel that the nt coaches are getting a very hard time. Maybe I'm just a little bit too soft hearted but I dont think it's right to treat nt managers who try their best like that.
Lastly NO risk of injuring my players during the final matches of my season. barhilo was tied with me on Points so I couldnt risk anymore injuries. So I didnt play any friendlies. Also I arranged a friendly with a top team at the end of the season but he forgot so I had no friendly for that week.

Plans for danish community.
Tell me what do you want? =) I assure you I will include everybody and listen to every single comment. You have to have your say in this. No support = me dead. I need you to tell me what to do and how you would like me to do it.
Tactis
here's the important bit.
I believe there are a few types of managers.
***************************************
1) someone who thinks offensively when placing players around the ball
2) someone who thinks defensively when placing players around the ball
****************************************
3) someone who plays to the teams strengths
4) someone who plays to the opponents weakness
****************************************
I am 3 and 70% (2) and 30% (1)
In other words I play solely to the teams strength and I am very much more defensive minded when I play my players. Different managers choose differently. I believe that playing to your opponents weakness is a VERY hard task which involves risk and lots of skill. Many teams have lost big games by doing this. (experience) So I stick with playing to the teams STRENGTHs.
Therefor I cannot tell you what kind of tactic i prefer. I do not know the players of denmark. If they have good defenders, 4-4-2 or 3-2-3-2. Good strikers, 3-1-3-3 or 3-2-2-3
I stick to a winning tactic. A stable one. As i said before in previous elections. I improve on a tactic. I dont completely change it =) Improve Improve Improve. And soon people will be wanting to play to our weakness but since we have improved so much we wont have any =)
Any questions? fire away. I'm a very patient person ^^

I would like to know what kind of style you prefer,, do you like all out attack, a strong midfield, will you play very defensivly against teams that on paper is stronger then our team ?
As to the language, if we can live with Sepp and Ricardo as IRL NT coaches we can properbly live with a "Kiwi" as Sokker NT coach. 8)

I think denmark has one of the strongest teams. At least i predict based on the number of users. Thanks to this I dont think i would have to play defensively against any team except maybe top three teams.
I think more defensively when I place the players around the ball. I like counters aka I am good at arranging players in the second/third line ;)
I always play with a defensive mid. I am starting to believe in a strong defence midfield.

How will you cope with the fact that there is no Bodger/Gilbert/Hird in Denmark?
Currently we do not have any super-strikers, we only have "regular" international class strikers. This means that you seldomly see the Danish strikers score wonder goals from 30 metres or dribble the entire defence and score; they need the ball close to the goal.
You are used to having some heavy artillery up front - can you adapt?

Haha No man Im not used to having heavy artillery upfront. My team doesnt have superstar strikers and the last time I managed new zealand Gilbert had average striking XD
I believe denmark has some good strikers and I'm ready to find out ;)

I just found it a bit strange that you'd bring up previous succeses without telling how they were made.
Or how you're planning to make new ones. As a type 4)-manager (50%/50%) the tactical aspects of Sokker is very important to me. So thanks for sharing a bit about your view on this. :)
I've been to your forums quite a few times this season. And I've seen some of the shit given to Cerb. But although some of it has been unfair (for example "it's shameful so loose to this or that team"), some of it has been real tactical inputs. Like the always returning subject of throw-ins.
And he hasn't handled the critics all that good himself, I believe (disclaimer: I probably haven't got the entire picture, since I only pop by from time to time - most often around the games bewteen DK and NZ). He may well have done with much lesser criticism if he'd actually tried to listen instead of just ignoring the people sharing their tactical views. He's shown a bit of "yeah yeah, but we won, so what's to learn for me?"-attitude, and that's not wise for any serious nt-coach I think.
So to sum it up: I believe it goes both ways when trying to establish a nice and positive atmosphere surrounding the nt-team. So I hope you're up for the task if elected. :)

thanks for helping me say what i wanted to =) Exactly right. I'm ready for plenty of feedback and advice from people. I feel it's only right for me to get advice from the community so that I can improve.
