The kind of answer you're giving here isn't excactly helping your points about fun and kindness in the community. I mean: is this what I'll get if I ask you a relevant critical question after a match? Are Monty's questions what you mean by "giving the NT Coach a hard time", "Cursing", "Scolding" A.S.O?
And is this?
Kongbuur: of course bbalmaster should answer this one for himself, but I do feel a need to point out, that in my view there is no reason to raise an issue about the tone people use in this thread.
Nobody has actually been rude as I see it. Not Monty nor bbalmaster. It is true, that bbalmaster has expressed concern, that monty may not want him as nt-coach, but I think he has done so in a civil and proper way. Granted, it is not exactly thighslappingly funny, but neither do I feel, it is in anyway unkind or bitter.
As I see it, we have a classical case of two strong individuals exchanging viewpoints and testing each other. In cases like that, I think it is often difficult to be only fun and kind.
I do think Monty raised a relevant issue concering the lack of friendlies and the way the transferhistory is structured. As I understand Monty he does so solely out of concern, that bbalmaster will have a "fallout" as nt-coach and thus not manage the team properly. I think that is a relevant concern - especially for a former very enthusiastic and beloved nt-coach.
Now, bbalmaster has answered Montys questions in a way that Monty finds unsatisfactory (an entirely fair viewpoint), and therefore he has asked again whether we can trust bbalmaster to not let the nt-team flounder. This was where bbalmaster got the impression, that Monty might not want him as nt-coach. I have no idea whether that is true or not, but I think, it is alright for bbalmaster to ask about Montys agenda and I think he does so in a proper way.
In any case, bbalmaster has said, he will not have a fallout. Whether people choose to believe him, is entirely up to them, and in true democratic fashion, they will vote accordingly.
To sum up: I have no problems at all with the way people treat each other in this thread, and to me it is not at all indicative of how a match would be discussed afterwards if bbalmaster was to be coach - simply because this concerns bbalmasters personal integrity, while discussions about matches would be structured around actual facts such as how players where placed etc.

I guess it's always a problem when you read something written in stead of hearing it said. I meant no harm either. Not at all. I re-read my post after Niklasvs said "så er den heller ikke længere" (which could be translated to something like:"you're making a fuss out of nothing") and hmm, well I still read it for what it was: a statement and a question:
Statement: The way I see it, Monty has always been polite to you too. He never said you lied.
Question: Most of Bballmasters candidacy is about how we should address and treat the NT-Coach. He does not want "a hard time", "cursing", "scolding" - he does not want you to say "you should've done it differently"
So, now Monty apparently does "something" and bballmaster reacts. I agree with you (jaevert) that nobody has really been rude up to that point. But the reaction from bballmaster was uncalled for. So I wondered: is this what he means? Are Montys questions what he means by "giving the NT Coach a hard time"
Then, finally, I wondered: "and is this?" Is my post more than he likes?
I find it relevant because it gives me an idea if I in a future where bballmaster is coach can ask a constructive critical question without feeling I am arguing. We all just want to have fun.
OMG. This would be so much easier in Danish :)

Okay, I think I follow your point now.
By the way: you are right - written arguments are always so much more difficult to conduct, than spoken ones...
I think we may disagree on one issue: whether bbalmasters reaction to Montys second question was uncalled for. As I understand you, you think it was uncalled for, whereas I think it is fair enough that he asks whether Monty does not want him as nt-coach.
Besides that, you ask him whether he is prepared to have a constructive dialogue about tactics and such. Right now I can't even remember, if that topic has been brought up before, and I am too lazy to check. In any case, I would like to know that as well. Discussions about the nt-matches are always nice to have - both because it is cosy and because you can get some tactical ammo/advice, that you can implement in your own team.
All in all I think the point, where we disagree is a minor one - so maybe we shold just agree, that we disagree...? :)
And actually I am very happy about this thread in general. It really shows, that it is possible to talk to each other in a positive and constructive way on the internet, which is definately not always the case - although the danish forum actually is very pleasant most of the time! *patting ourselves on the back* ;)

I'm happy and agree to all of the above. Let's see if the involved parts have something to add or if we can end it here.
Btw: I can understand it if my own post seemed uncalled for if you didn't feel that bballmaster had done anything wrong to begin with. But yarrr, let's leave it be.

I really have nothing against you as a person. Believe me. :)
But I need to be confident, that the next Danish coach has got enough spare time and dedication to manage the team properly. A part of the reason I'm not running this time, is because I don't have the time needed anymore to put in that effort.
And I just can't comprehend the choices you've made regarding friendlies, if it's not due to lack of commitment. Or of time to devote to your own team.
The only other explanation I can think of, is that you just don't see friendlies as important to play at all. That maybe you think training isn't profitable or something. But then it makes me wonder, why you would choose to have so many players in your squad? Nobody needs 13 substitutes if it's not to play and train on wednesdays also. Plus you haven't claimed anything like this so far, so I'll strike that option from the list. Which leaves just one option left...
So... I still don't think you're beeing honest.
(@kongbuur: Which is the same as saying, I believe he's lied to me/us - even if in a softer manner. So I think bballmaster2's answer was totally fair and polite.)
But I won't dig into this anymore. You've promised us 100% dedication, and that's really all you can do. Fair enough.
I totally understand, why you would feel I'm fighting some kind of personal war against you. But I had to ask those questions, when noone else did. I'd rather have someone else do it, because compared to the other maincontender's thread I wasn't impressed at all by your initial speech, so I've made my choice before entering your campaign.
It's still not something personal though. But I believe it's necessary. And I've asked RTMOB the only question I could think of also, even if I knew at the time, that it would take a really strong and unlikely Danish contender to make me not vote for him.
I hope you understand. :)

I have voted for you, but i must agree that i find it odd that you didn't just use your reserves in a friendly.
Couldn't you answer why you didn't use them ? I mean even if they where injuired that wouldnt have any effect on your 1st team.

wow Morten Olsen Danish IRL NT isent under this kind of investigation, if he were, he would have a serious problem ,-) ... but I understand all the concerns what so ever ...but my vote is still on BB
My vote is also on BB, in my opinion no other canditat has more expirience and after the hazing he has been though in this theat, he has shown his dedication.
I agree with Monty that the questions had to be asked, as a nondanish candidate you have to go that ekstra mile and show that you are the best candidate.

Sorry for any unwanted feelings especially towards you monty. I really thought u wanted me out and that was wrong of me to think that.
I've gone for this nt role many times. If I do get voted I definitely want to prove to you that you made the right choice. Therefore I promise a 100% effort. I WILL try my best to get Denmark into the knockoutrounds for the first time? I'm not promising that Denmark will definitely qualify but I will do my best.
Like nicklasav said, I've gone for this role 6/7 times, it is very unlikely that I will give 50% of my effort.

I have also noticed Danmark is losing players! I swear Danmark was up to 800 players+ at one stage and now there are 550+ in Danmark. Kinda scary in my opinion.
The real problem isn't that we're lossing players, but that those who do have a team aren't active on either the forums nor planning trainning matches etc. Even in 2.div a lot of the teams are just running on cruise controll, with no real manager.
Well I too don't understand why you didn't play any friendlies but it's your choice, and I don't think it proves lack of commitment. Your last 5 Premier League matches shows good variation in tactics, and it is clear to me that you had one objective far above all. To win the Premiership. As long as you show the same commitment to DK's finest, you can for my sake skip as many club friendlies as you like. You have promised 100% dedication to the danish NT, and so far I see no reason not to believe you. In my opinion you have the necessary tactical experience (NT-wise as well), and with some help from a translator (human), every danish user will be able to enjoy the forum ativity as well.
So... I have made my decision. I'm voting for you this time. Good luck :)
