got like 5 minutes to write the report as i have a very hard week ....
Lilltrollet in this match you need to show your true tactical abilities. Vilpu is a great coach, and is very flexible in tactics. He can play vs Sweden even with a winger as they played vs Uruguay .. and they are close to our NT (strength) but if he has other thoughts, he may choose a tactic alike vs Turkey... with 3 central midfielders. He is also unpredictable su he can play with 2 or 3 or even 1 strier.. but with 1 striker isn't likely cause the strength of NZ is striking power. i know how looks their nr 5 striker so i can tell you they have great attacking power. Now the most important defensive play. he uses a style used firstly by Sevvol at Belarus NT.. he plays always a low defence but when you move into attack his defence goes upward for off-side trap. so you can have high strikers but in a special part of the field just lower them to avoid offside-trap and the problem solved... in other moments keep the striker high... but if Vilpu reads this topic, and 93% he will, he can change his defensive play witha standard offside-trap(always high defence)....
About players:
Rodney Walker, age: 25 injury 12 days, 1 played NT match, so not first team striker... and not a very big loss for NZ.
David Watts, age: 30
this first team defender is injuried for 27 days, so its an advantage for us, their defensive play is weakened a bit.
and 2 slight injuries.. the team doesn't have lots of cards.. no red cards from what i've seen.

Yes NZ are really powerful in their attacks, as u say this player might play 30 mins (then Vilpu will substitute with his best players as he always(?) does)
Besides of their forwards I think we are better in all positions (but we'll see ;))

in striking i thinkg only Abelsson is better. the others ar\e almost same level as NZ ones. they have old fenders but still good. so you need to think of a good tactic, maybe the suggested one by me , maybe another inspiration moment you will have and wil make a good original tactic. but the main point is to control the mid. so think more on this part...
Det blev en ganska stabil seger mot Dominikanska Republiken. Okej, vi var väl kanske inte helt felfria i första halvlek och ledde bara med ett mål efter halva matchen. Men man såg att Sverige var det bättre laget och i slutet av matchen så kunde vi dra ifrån till 5-1.
Formationen som användes var en 3-4-3 och lite intressant var att att alla bytena var på anfallarna. Totalt användes alltså 6 anfallare. Imponerande nog så gjorde 5 av dem mål.
Känns ju oerhört trevligt att se vilken bredd vi har. Funkar inte målskyttet, så kan vi sätta in tre nya anfallare som alla kan göra mål.
Och då lirade vi dessutom utan Abelsson. Inte illa.
Den senaste tiden så har vi lirat en hel del matcher mot lite sämre motståndare, men den här gången så siktar vi lite högre. Dags att mäta krafterna mot det rätt så jämnstarka landslaget från - Nya Zeeland!

Personligen så har jag länge velat åka till landet, men har än så länge inte kommit längre än till Riga.
Nåja, på Sokker (det är ju där vi är och inte i verkligheten, även om vissa av oss nog är så pass beroende av spelet att detta är verkligheten och allt utanför datorn är ett mystiskt ställe fyllt med konstiga varelser som kallar en "pappa" eller "son"....mardrömslikt) så leds landslaget av en person vid namn Vilpu. En estländare som är moderator och håller till i högsta ligan i Estland. Där går det rätt bra för honom.
Förbundskaptensvalet i Nya Zeeland vann han då han fick alla - det vill säga 4 - röster.
Karln är förresten rätt otrevlig. Så här skrev han på Nya Zeelands forum: "Playing against Sweden tomorrow. Strong team, continously under performing."!!!!
Kan då säga att jag inte gillar Estland. Har varit där en gång och det fanns bara kullerstenar på gatorna och prostituerade i hörnen samt att coca colan smakade diskvatten!

Landslaget verkar hur som helst gå rätt bra och de strävar efter att hålla sig i topp-32 på rankingen. Något som inte är helt omöjligt.
Truppen deras är i stort sett komplett. Enda spelaren som definitivt missar matchen är Rodney Walker och det känns inte som ett stort avbräck precis.
Enligt Ice-T så saknas även en av deras bättre backar, men honom har de tagit bort från truppen. Antagligen ett minus för dem, men de kanske har bra defensiva ersättare.

Poängen har blivit bättre, fast den här veckan räckte det inte till klättring på rankingen. Snart så ska vi dock nå plats 36. Slår vi Nya Zeeland så vore det till stor hjälp.

Truppen ser bra ut. Pär Bergwall är fortfarande skadad, men snart är han nog tillbaka på plan igen.
Om man är intresserad av att se hur en bra svensk back ser ut så kan man väl ta sig en titt på Stig Fredholm. 25-åringen är till salu för tillfället och karln är ju en rätt hyfsad defensiv kugge. Förra gången han såldes så gick han för strax över 3 mille. Har en känsla av att priset lär hamna betydligt högre den här gången om han hamnar på transfern.
Får se hur Lilltrollet väljer att formera laget. Ice-T har förespråkat 4-4-2 eller 4-5-1. Han verkar också vilja se Abelsson på topp och jag kan ju inte förneka att det vore trevligt att se honom på plan igen. Albin Rickardsson hälsar att han gärna ser honom längst fram som han kan leverera inlägg på. Jag sticker ut hakan och säger att om de två är på plan så får vi se ett hattrick av Abelsson och minst två assist från Rickardsson ;)
Dags att ge Vilpu smisk, putta ner Kivi-killarna på rankingen och samtidigt ta oss upp på en trettiosjätteplats.

I just can say that lilltrollet is very confident in our players so he will try smthng interesting....
En rolig och svängig match där det kändes som om Morcombe var tungan på vågen för Vilpu's NZ. Vilket mål han gör i inledningen! ;)
Matchen kunde ha slutat annorlunda, men när Rand står och kliar sig i huvudet med öppet mål i 75:e minuten så går det ju bara inte!
Ändå bra jobbat trollet!

saw the match... its almost sucide to play with 3 defs vs NZ's attack. and as i said they have a poisonous attack... and the battle for the mid was lost, cause 2 defnders playing as DM's with2 Winger didn't made the right result to win the mid. so the 3 strikers were hanging around a bit.
well i hope next match will be a win.

I'm not sure that a different tactic i.e. more def's and a def line playing lower in the field would have helped us today. NZ probably would have get their opportunities anyway.

Ok, I have just found this thread. Nice reading from Ice-T.
I think our 3 def's did a great job and NZ only got 5 shots, unfortunately Morocombe is way too effective when he gets his few chances.
Morocombe is probably the most useless striker there is:) You should have seen him playing last season. He was underperforming, but Brent Gilbert (exact copy of Ice-T striker) saved us so many times. Luckily Rob is getting older and experienced:)
Why get only 5 shots? Now I know I should have used winger, would have had much more scoring chances. Your players made too many fouls to our players. Every time my winger or striker had empty space ahead, then your players made a foul from behind. I think at least 5 times. Here is one reason for sure.
As the average mark clearly shows + the values of players, Sverige has clearly better potential. You have better players. Your NT should be at least in Top 25 and should participate in every World Cup. Today, your tactic just killed your chances. Don`t even know why you risked using something like this.

here i completely agree with you :) as i saw some of your prefromances i knew how to prepare vs Viplu's NZ and what to expect from this game :D and about watts. i saw you were using him lotsin past so i thought he was a first team defender :)

ila-a - Takk a lot. I try to do my best, achieved my goals and took part from world cup. However I recently realized that I have made some mistakes - didn`t think about the future seasons ago and should have prevent few things. For example the lack of defenders. Long story though.
