Annoying attitude of the Danish manager today. We agreed for a game with U27- 8 players and 3 players over 27. He didn`t respect the agreement and used his best team. We loose rank points for this game unfortunately. I blame myself for not verifying his team, but as I got a confirmation via sk-mail I thought everything should be ok :(

It would have been nice to see the potential of our youngsters into a game with players equaled valued.
Maybe another time.

Today election period for the National teams are again on the way. It has been a season which brought us much delight as Sverige has qualified again to the World Cup stages. I hope we won`t stop there, but time will tell.

Nevertheless, it would be an honor to be able to lead Sverige to this competition. If you believe that I deserve this chance, please vote for me on the voting page -> here.

Poland is a clear favorite of the group, no doubt about it. Hungary is as well a strong force, former World Cup winner and Vietnam complete the group. Hope for the best.

World Cup group stage | Group D

Sverige vs Vietnam 2-2

Today the World Cup festival has began. Our first opponent was Vietnam, 21st placed team. They proved to be a strong opponent, a powerfull mid line and striking area. We lead and managed to come from behind, even we could have won it. It ended 2-2, and we have our first point from the group.
Hungary vs Poland ended 1-1, so everyone has 1 point.

Next opponent, Hungary.

World Cup - Group D

Sverige vs Hungary 0-2

Probably I was too afraid of the strength of the Hungarian side and should have played more offensively, but I did not because I experienced def problems in the first match against Vietnam. We lost by our hand, two goals received so easily, one penalty and one own goal decided our fate into this match.

The qualifying chances are quite low towards zero as we play Poland into our last game and only a two goal difference should allow us to pass towards the next round.

World Cup - Group D

Poland vs Sverige 5-2

Today we had our last minutes played at this season`s World Cup. Poland was a tough nut for us.
I tried my best, I do not know if we could have achieved more. Probably with better in form players, better experience, the final results could have been more satisfying.

For the rest of the season we will play a couple of friendlies and the U27 tournament.

You did well Clau, it was very difficult group, maybe the most at this World cup.. Let's focus on ranking up now, to have better position for next qualification and also next WC. :)

As the U27 tournament is knocking at the door I would appreciate if Swedish managers would sk mail to me your potential U27 players. Remember, my playing in NT matches you will enlarge your player`s training potential.

As a conclusion, it was a pleasure having the chance to play at the World Cup stage, I think we could have done more things against Vietnam and Hungary, but it was not to be. Still I believe we had a decent presentation and played good sokker.

At the Euro U27 Championship we are qualified directly to the next competition after defeating Moldova.

Euro U27, game for the 19th-20th place

Sverige vs Azerbaycan 0-0(0-0)1-3(penalty)

And the journey ends here. On Saturday I had my last game in charge of the Sverige Senior National Team. I would have preferred a win against the Azers, we had quite an equaled game with not that many goal chances. It all went to penalty shoot-out.

The Azers were more inspired and won it 1-3. I had three nice seasons in charge of the team. I want to thank you for offering me the chance to manage your National Team.
