Barum [del] to All
Hi guys

I'm thinking of visiting sweden in early september for one to two weeks. But I don't know much about sweden and so I thought you could probably give me some hints or tipps or anything.

There are a few questions I have:

- What place is nice to visit? I think I will start my journey in Stockholm most probably. Maybe I'm coming from Denmark over the bridge... :-). But that's not sure yet.
- Is it better to stay in a city for a week, or are there nice tours you can/should make?
- Are there any cheap youth hostels in sweden? Or what is the cheapest way to travel in sweden?
- Will Mando Diao or the Hives play a concert in early september..? ;-)

Thanks for your help! :-)

U should visit Gothenburg Barum, then we can discuss Haraldssons progress (and it´s not the swedish NT manager we are talking about but the winger in the Iclandic NT) :D

I think U will do both Stockholm and Gothenburg in 2-3 days each... U should go for a boat trip in the coast as well, thats really nice. Skåne is also great, especially Österlen but it depends a bit what U are looking for, culture or party?

- Are there any cheap youth hostels in sweden? Or what is the cheapest way to travel in sweden?

There are lot og hostels wich is cheap so that shouldn´t cause any problem but U have to order in advance, especially in the big citys...

Mando Diao will be touring in europe in september, and the Hives will be in Brasil.

Thanks for answering!

Yeah I thought I should visit Goetheburg too. Is it easy to travel by train from Stockholm to Gothenburg? What about Malmo? Is it nice to go there?
And if I'm in Gothenburg I will surely visit you! :-)

The culture / party question: Mainly I'm looking for culture (maybe some nice architecture, Gunnar Asplund and so on...). But if there are good concerts I won't say no... :-)

Hi, first of all, sorry for bumping this topic :-)

I have a friend who is on ERASMUS in Göteborg and in february, we're going to give him a visit. Because he said that Göteborg is not much special, we decided to go to Stockholm first for 2 days and thereafter, we stay in Göteborg for only 1 day.

I just wonder if you guys have some ideas for things we should certainly go see in Stockholm and Göteborg. Is there a clever way of transportation (I read there's a metro in Stockholm, is there some kind of 2-day transportation card?)? Are there some good places to go eat something? We are just students, so we would like to keep our journey rather cheap, so don't propose too excessive things :-)

Thanks in advance for your answers!

There is nothing to do in Stockholm. You should go to Gothenburg instead ;-)
