Subject: [NT] Jurkasz
Tere!
Minu nimi on Jurkasz, pärit olen Ungarist. Ma olen kakskümmend kaks aastat vana.
Last season I promised I would learn a little Estonian, so I thought I should introduce myself in your language this time :) I hope I didn’t make any mistakes in these absolutely basic sentences, that would be embarrassing :]
If you don’t know me…
I’m playing with this game for more than 4 years now, my team has the name Railgun SC-AIM since a few weeks. I’ve just relegated to the second division due to a number of unfortunate circumstances, but I already played five seasons in the Hungarian first division collecting a league title and a silver medal as well. I also played in the Hungarian Cup final three times, winning once in the process.
Earlier I manged the Hungarian NT for a total of five seasons, I coached Japan for another three and this season I’ve been trying my best as the Eesti NT-coach and I hope I can continue to do so, that’s why I decided to nominate myself again.
NT Eesti
In the forthcoming season, the greatest challenge is obviously the World Cup. With my help, the team qualified itself unbeaten, scoring 110 and conceding 1 (stupid) goal in 10 matches and with this Eesti can wait the draw (which is going to happen on the 19th of december) from the first pot.
I think I can say that I didn’t disappoint you in the qualifyings, I managed to beat some Eesti NT-records as well like winning 29-0 against UAE (most goals ever) or having a 80.3 record rating against Bosna i Hercegovina. As far as I know only Poland managed to achieve the magical 80+ rating before us.
In the next few weeks until the World Cup starts I have two aims:
- to clear the cards for everyone who has two yellows in order to avoid unnecessary suspension during the WC
- to preserve our key players so they won’t get injured
This means that this is the last week when I intend to play with our best team, after that the reserves and the U25 players will get the main attention until the WC starts.
In the World Cup, my ultimate goal is winning the entire thing. Since Eesti already played in the final last time, I guess anything else than winning a tournament would be a disappointment. Beating Poland is already plausible, this season we played a match against them where we had more shots (for the first time in the history of Eesti-Polska matches) and the result could have gone the other way around too. Although we have major form problems currently I’m still optimistic about this. Sacrifice goats and virgins please :)
I’m still undecided about the post-World Cup matches, only one thing is sure: I want to improve our ranking.
Changes
1. In the management of the NT
Currently I’m not pleased with the amount of feedback I’m getting from you, the community, so next season I’d like to make a use of the national association located here. I will post a preview of the tactic I’d like to use in the next match so you will be able to criticize or improve it, which would be a great help, since ’more eyes see more’. The final decision would be still mine so as the responsibility, but I think it would improve both your and my game experience.
The other thing is not really a change, only an addition for fun. I’d like to found some awards for the players including:
- player of the match (weekly award)
- player of the season
- best goalkeeper/defender/midfielder/striker of the season
2. In the match engine
Three major changes coming this season. The most important is going to be height. Height will add even more tactical depth to the game since from now on if you’re going to play with wingers, you can’t rely on a midget striker. Or if you want to play with an offside trap, you’d better play with shorter defenders. And so on.
The second major change is player blocking. The more experienced the player, the better he can block or slow down the opponent player when running to the ball. Of course this is going to emphasize the importance of experienced players, especially defenders.
Finally the third change is the importance of technique for defenders and defensive mids. If a defender has a teammate behind him, he’s going to dribble more.
I can’t decide yet if these changes will help the Eesti NT or not, we’ll see if the new scripts go online and the players get their height. But since we have a great depth in almost every position, I’m very optimistic about this.
Other matters
One of our best defenders, Villem Miller’s skills has been a mystery for some time now, however I managed to make an agreement with his owner, sloma, that he’s going to show me his skills if I get re-elected. I think that’s a nice diplomatic achievement, I hope the opportunity won’t get wasted ;)
I’d like to thank the hard work of Yff and Zorro, our goalkeeper- and striker-scout. They helped me a lot in taking care of the neglected NT-database and I’m truly grateful for that. I hope they are willing to continue their work. However I will need at least one more scout, so if you want to help your country next season, shoot me a SK-mail.
If you happen to have any questions for me, don’t hesitate to ask them.
Please let me continue my job and vote for me here!
Thank you!

Ikka Meistriliigas ja ikka esikohal viimased kuus hooaega. Pole kusalegi langenud.

Midagi teha pole, MMil peab juhtima mees, kes viis meid MMile.
Before speech I don't vote for you!

My speech has been posted, you can find it on the elections page and in the first post of this topic :)
Thanks for those who already voted for me.
Thanks for those who already voted for me.
To me, the ranking is not that important. It's certainly good to be in the first place on every possible list, but in reality it doesn't matter if you're 1st or 16th, it still means you are going to be drawed from the first pot in the WC-qualifyings. However as I stated in my speech, my main goal in the second half of the next season would be the improvement of our ranking.
I know that I can't convince everyone to vote for me simply because I'm not Estonian, but I would be happy if you would not make fun of my username.
