This is the new friendly schedule.

This week the opponent is Austria, an opponent who will play the World Cup and has enough quality to give us a good test.

The game will be in the same terms of the game against Croatia:
6 players of 21 years (all substitutes of the main team)
5 players 20 years old

For those who have not read it previously, our planning is to save the main players for the World Cup.
We have a small team and any injury would be a big problem. I'll also take advantage to test underused players, and meet the players of 20 years.

This is a preliminary team, which may have changes.

I repeated the way of playing of the last games.

Austria started better, making good moves on the left and created at least two good chances.

But it was not long before our team resumed their usual defensive solidity. We balance the game and play on the opponent's error. At 23 minutes we scored the first goal, Niidumäe won a split ball with the defender, dribbled the other defender, the goalkeeper defended the first kick, but in the rebound Niidumäe scored 1-0.

The game was very disputed in the center of the field, but with few attacks from both teams. With 55 minutes played, an error by the opposing goalkeeper and Mõistus made it 2-0. With all our defensive solidity at that moment, a victory was on its way.

But to 70 minutes there was a tactical shift that was scheduled. Our modified midfield, positioned to attack, had no offensive expected result and unprotected our defense. We suffered a goal in the sequence, and almost the tie near the end.

We did not do a great game, but as a test it was excellent. Another victory is also important for our ranking position.

Your 1st tactic worked perfectly against Belgium, 4-4-2 and letting their ATT's and Wing at offside was perfect. Many unused 1vs1 situations.
I didn't check, when did you change your tactic, but I guess it was around 75' after you made 3 changes.
For 1st tactic I have just 1 note, ATT's were bit too deep. It looked like passing were better than from Belgium. Theirs problem was lack of PM+passing.
Our DEF was kinda tired in then 2nd half, couldn't keep up with winger any more.

België U21 - Eesti U21

We lost in the end.

Clearly our two players on the right side (Romet Uustaal and Juhan Välling) tired at the end of the game.

We played a good game against a technically superior team. The victory unfortunately escaped in the end, but I was satisfied with what we did today.

The game was quite disputed, with both teams creating good chances to score. Our team took disadvantages in individual duels, but it was fine in the construction of the moves.

The change of tactics made our team more exposed in defense and allowed the Belgians to better explore the side plays mainly against two low stamina players who played 90 minutes.
