Subject: Holiday

The last 3 weeks I was in Croatia(I'm home since yesterday) and 2 days in Slovenia.
Gosh I liked your country!!

The first day of my holiday I went to Zagreb and just stayed there for the night. But then I had already seen a lot of your beautifull country on the small roads(we had avoided the motorway for 50km just to sightsee). I saw a lot of new buildings, structurized and so on..

From there our ways lead to Dubrovnik(in fact Orosac but it's close to Dubrovnik). We stayed there in an apartment(sobe=p??) with one of the nicest people I ever met. Are all those Dubronicans so friendly?. We went swimming a lot over there. The adriatic just conquered me head over heels. Warm,not polluted, clear,.. Heavenly=D.
The citadel was nice. But not amazing sry guys =p.
I also did a boat trip and discovered a "secret" beach. Excellent lovers place =D

From there to Trogir,Split,Sibenik and Solin(Salona) nice places but a lil bit industrial. I especially liked Solin due to the roman remainders. And split due to the beautifull walkway next to the beach.

Then we went to jezero plitvicka(The plitvice lakes =p) but we stopped in Zadar. Nice Place though=D.
The plitvice lakes were awesome but the people there weren't friendly at all!

The rest of my trip was to bled(Slovenia)

What I noticed in Croatia(Hrvatska):
- I was at the beach when some guys were 'partying', i asked why. The police found Karacic and they hated Bladic they said =p.
I didn't know who they were so I asked my dad and he said those guys massacred Croatians.

- Croatian is impossible to understand meslina(olives),gdje (where?), preljawstina(garbage) and that's all. I tried but i failed =p

- You need to look for buildings who have been shot during the war, guys I saw 4-5 of them you have done super hard work.

- We wanted to visit Cotor(Montenegro) but the customs of both the nations were difficult. Unfortunately my dad lost his patience and we turned back when a montenegrian asked for eco-tax =p.
- You have the best grilled-fish I ever ate :)

Is my view on Croatie correct or do i have been fooled by my touristeyes

I noticed ;)

But overall everything is a little bit cheaper in Croatie than here in Belgium, especially fish.

Where are you from?

well of course its cheaper due to general life standard we basicly have all euro prices except euro wages, Duborvnik is extremly expensive but in general thats all about vacation, its spending time, I live in capital in Zagreb

Dubrovnik expensive? I think Split, Trogir were way expensiver for less quality

I'm glad that you liked our country.. :) You made a nice description of your impressions here in Croatia!
