tiZhu [del] to
jazo

pklatovi zauzeli sabor, akademiju znanosti i umjetnosti, fakultete i državne firme ...
Postoji jedna dimenzija nepoznata covjeku.
Prostor izmedju svjetlosti i sjenke, izmedju nauke i praznoverja.
To je dimenzija tamnih sila i perverzne imaginacije.
Gospodari te dimenzije nazivaju se Pklatovi.
Pklatovi imaju oci i usi i noge i ruke i ledeni dah,
Iskaci kroz prozor mala i bjezimo odavde,
u dvoriste i park pa sve do kraja ulice.
Mi smo pklatovi i nemojte nam sta zamjeriti.

It seems like there are 4 distinct periods of anti-Communism in the US, all with different reasons.
The first would be the beginning of the 20th century, right after the Bolshevik Revolution. This period is known as the "Red Scare" where the FBI and other US Government agencies put the kibosh on communist activities and forced them underground. These early communist groups were disproportionately immigrant, eastern european and Jewish. In this period communism was more of a legitimate political force in the US than it would ever be again.
The second period is in the 1930s communist were very involved in bringing more Union power for both skilled and unskilled workers and the New Deal and other government programs were in their infancy. The Unions in this period brought a lot of the workers rights taken for granted today. Many communist ideas made their way into the mainstream in this period (Check out FDRs second bill of rights he never got passed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sec...).
It was in this period that the US communist party blew it for themselves. They became more and more tied to Moscow, with even direct contact with Stalin's officials. The US communist party even went so far as to support Germany while they were allied with the Soviets and to write in the "Daily Worker" that the Jews had nothing to fear from Germany that they didn't have to fear from France or the UK. Eventually, they turned on the same FDR who had been the champion of liberalism when it was clear that the US were going to be supporting the Allies with more than just words (of course, once Hitler invaded the Soviets, the anti-FDR rhetoric all changed).
The 3rd period is the period most are familiar with, the 2nd Red Scare, or McCarthyism, immediately following World War II and running into the 50s. In this period there was a great fear that Soviet style communism would sweep across the globe (domino effect) and there was also a lot of conservative backlash to the popularity and success of the New Deal programs. The fact that the official US communist party was so closely aligned to the Soviets certainly didn't help their cause with either McCarthyism's true believers or the general US public.
In this period the Unions were also purged of a lot of communist influence (especially the CIO of AFL-CIO fame), Hollywood had their blacklists, the House Un-American Activities Committee was formed and Hoover and the FBI engaged in many illegal activities to prosecute "communists".
This anti-communist illegal activity and its public support (McCarthy's approval rating hovered around 50%, with only 30% disapproving) led US Supreme Court Chief Justice Weaver to say that if the Bill of Rights got put to a popular vote, it would be defeated.
The 4th period would be the post Soviet Era... where there is a lot more indifference than the fear and hatred in the period from McCarthy on through the end of the Cold War.

Evo baš gledam Otvoreno o Agrokoru, jednom pravom komunistićkom prehrambenom kombinatu u kojem sada politički komesar vedri i oblači po međunarodno utuživim kriterijima. Sve će to narod preplatiti.
