how much should I pay for a standard meal?

And for a night in a hostel? i'm looking for cheap downtown hostels
2007-05-24 22:07:32
do I need passport?
2007-05-24 22:11:34
yes, you need the passport
restaurants are usually cheaper then in other eu coutries but i don't live in croatia so let's wait for someone else to answer

It is still cheaper then in the other countries but not so much... usual prices... 1 euro is like 7.34 kunas (kn) and for example one pizza is like 25-30kn (4 euro), a standard meal is also like that... with some drink 5 euro or something like that...

in a bar you will pay a beer like 1.5-2.5 euro, depends on how fensy is the place :)

I'm not really sure about hostel prices... I should check

Pago to Pago
I've found out on the internet a page about hostels in Croatia ande they say the prices are around 70-100 kn for a night (breakfast) some more 20kn (breakfast and dinner) but it goes from one to other, depending on the date you're coming, in what kind of room you wanna stay in (like if you come with some friends, its cheaper a bed in a bigger room, like 8 beds, than if you takea room for just yourself...

this is the site but I think it is only in croatian :)

I wouldn't recomend you that... I'm not really sure about that but I think you should take your passport with you, not only to enter in Croatia but I also guess they will all ask you your passport in every hostel-hotel for indentification... it's ussual procedure in every hotel around the globe, not only in croatia...
