Subject: Eiropa čempionāts 2007 Spānija

Germany won just after overtime agains Czech ^^ We could say Nowitzki won against Czech, he scored 35pt and made 11rebounds. Latvija now in front by 6 points at end of 3rd quarter. Latvija 3pt shooted 7 out of 10 =)

No surprises here :)

Maybe it isn't surprise but this game was very important for us. In 2005 Europe chempionship first game was against them, then we won, in 2006 World Chemps we played first game alsow against them, and we lost after OT, later in that tournament we lost again to them for 5th place match. This year again, first oponent Turkey ^^ But now they had Turkoglu and Mehmet Okur back to national team, and after last friendly match against Vilniaus "Lietuvos Rytas" when Lithuania almost didnt lost, many people didnt know what to expect from our team in this tournament, but luckuly we won and didnt gave any chance for Turks to win this match :)

p.s. in first two my posts i made little update. Oh and yeah, today Spain vs Latvija ! :p

Latvia lost but it was obviously that we played only on one third of our full potential. If latvians would play on half of our strength Spain would lost :)
Today is the hardest match. If Latvia loses we go home despite win against Croatia.

I didnt saw that game, just seen how Latvians played against Crotia :( If Latvija will lose today and Crotia will lose against Spain, then 3 teams would have 1 victory and two loses, so it would depend on scored and conceded points diference. But you should win easy :)

Group A



Izrael - Serbija
Two outsiders game, serbija yesterday was beaten after overtime and just by 1 point, and Izrael after first half gave up and looked that they maybe saved energy for this game. If Serbija still has energy left after two hard games then they wont have big problems against Izrael.


Russia - Greece
Should be good game, but Russia should win it. Russia every day gets stronger and stronger and Greece.... hmmm... I just dont like how they play, i dont like them players. Greece fotball team won EC, greece basketball team won EC but i dont know how they done that, they suck. I hope Lithuania will get them in 1/4 finals :)



B group



Portugal - Latvija
Dont see here any miracle, first half maybe Portugal will fight but after half time they will broke and lose.


Crotia - Spain
In last EC these two teams played in 1/4 and after overtime Spain won. But Crotia shoud won it, referes was on Spain side (one of refs was Dovydavicius Lithuanian). But dont see something similar today, again easy win for Spains.



C group



Chech - Turkey
Here could be bigest tournament surprise, Turkey broke down after first quarter against Germany yeasterday, in 39mins Turks made just 1 3pointer, shooting was horible, it could be end for turks in this tournament if they wont fix morale in the team.


Lithuania - Germany
Probably one of most intresting game today. Germany has two Dirks in the team, one of the best players in the world - Dirk Nowitzki and head coach - Dirk Bauerman. Bauerman dosent have best players, but he has discipline in teame, very very good discipline. Whit one amazing player, good discipline and few snipers they could fight maybe even for medals like in 2005 when they won silver and in 2002 world chemps when they won bronze.



D groupe



Poland - Italy
Italy must win this match, and they will win it. But in next stage they will have 0 victories (when other teams will have 1or2 victories) and slim chances to go to 1/4 finals.


Slovenia - France
Mmmmm, very intresting game looks to be. I would go for Slovenia. I dont see that France could go far they had problems against Poland and Italy they beated just becouse 36 Parker points(more than half of all teams points)

Yeahhh, Lithuania won by 4 points, in 3rd quarter we were leading by 21 point ^^ but we wasted it and in the end we almost didnt lost :D And Serbia is OUT they lost to Izrael, for me its very good news, i dont like them :)

Very hard game for Latvija :(
