Subject: Future or Present?
- 1
Now that im quite setteld with the NT squad and potentials , i think we can talk about what we want to do for the future.
I belive we have a realy great potentials here and the right trainers to train them , the question is what we want now , to try and do the best with the players we have , no matter their age and future potenial which is quite limited , or to start playing with younger players but with less skills , somehing that will cost us at present in results , but will possibly give us the NT we want to see a few season fron now.
So what do you think?
What is your favorite option?
(and it will be better if everyone will write their choice as well.. :-)

There may and will be others as well in time , like Liepa , Rubenis and more , who are realy nice potentials that are trained (thats the time to ask from you guys if you think you have a player we should build on as well , even if now he is not too good , please send him to me , even if you already did it before , it will only help me to get another view and maybe reconsider some more players that i may missed at this stage)
Thanks

i am for the jung ones in friendly games and for qualification games to World Cup ofcorse we have to use the best we have.
As for MiniWoldCup than i would be for junger players on field. Maybe even U21. Because if we allways use best players than our NT growth wont be so fast as it would be if we play with future stars. Because matches now are not so important like matches after few seasons ;)

If we consider our posibbility to go trough to the WC next season than it will be almost no chance at all , of course it depends on the group that will be , so its luck..
But in a normal group there will be at least 3 teams who will be much better and the chances to beat at least the 3rd seeded will be realy low with the corrent sqaud..
So maybe after we will see the group we will decide about our next steps (if ill be the coach than) but at least for now the question is for this season..

Well.. the best thing would be to play mixed. for example 2 games with jung talants and 1 game with everything we got, than again 2 with future stars and 1 with everyone.
or even 3:1
or even 3:1
Well , we have the U21 WC , in which we will play , so its at least 3 matches + 6 friendlies in which usualy no one have a problem to have an U22-20 matches in them if we will want to..
So i think the ratio of 1:3 is something we will probably have.

3:1, 4:1 is fine.
Using ONLY the best or ONLY the jung wouldn't be a good idea...

I vote for the second option because our NT concept always was to build a future team by playing youngsters. Older than 25 go home/local bar/playing with kids. While there are friendlies, we should give extra training and experience for youngers. When it comes to a WC qualification matches, it's a different story. In most important matches (where we have a tiny chance to win) we should play with best available squad. Against TOP teams we can play with younger future potentials. That's my opinion.
And if you decide to play with youngsters, I think you should warn those managers who train old NT players, that they will play only in important matches.
Well , i totaly agree with that if you ask me.
But everyone should know this and i think its a community choice after all..
:-)
My main point is lets say we have a 23 yr old player which is a little better than one 19yr , than who should we play , the 23yr because he is better (but his potential is of course very limited) or the 19yr which is weaker at this stage , but will be much better in the future and will be a great player (in hope he will be trained to the max)
