About my experience

11 seasons coaching National Teams:

3 times Venezuela DT
6 times Ecuador DT
2 times Cymru DT

About my performance in Venezuela, pretty good, pretty close.

I took young players and give guidelines to their respective owners. I couldnt qualify my country to the WC, I left out 2 times for goal average for the best 3rd place in the first qualifiers where that existed and in the 2nd qualifiers I tied in points with Hungary but the worst goal average kick me out of the WC. After that, a new coach take the NT and thanks to the good players we form we qualified for the first time in the next season.

In Ecuador, a long work that I´m proud.

My contribution there was to work long term with the NT. Worked with a base of young players and give guidelines to users about the training of this players. Also I faced every game in Qualifiers to give hell no matter the rival. The last 2 qualifications Ecuador ends 4th in their group fighting for the 3rd place, I know is not the best background a 4th place, but for Ecuador was good achievement, they was used to finish last.

Cymru, a regular season

Cymru was a hard NT to work. A small country where users have their style to train players. The problem was: very small community so there´s to few youngs to work. the Qualifications was hard, Mexico, Scotland and Southafrica was in our group were we suppouse to take the 4th place. We beat southafrica without problem but Mexico and Sharon´s Scotland was pretty hard rivals to beat them and finished 3ird in the group. A bit dissapointed to be honest.


¿Who am I?

I consider myself like a builder. So that is what I like to offer. I will try to play with a base of young players with a combination of old/good players to improve in the rank and build a strong team for seasons to qualifies to WC wich must be the highest aspiration of anyone.
Im not gonna say "Iam a good tactician" because its crap, I made good tactics like others and bad and really bad tactics, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Its pretty normal.


Contribution

I like to contribute in any aspect as coach I can. Not just in the constant search of players in the Databases and ask for updates but in the train of players. I like to give recomendations of trainnings to the owners of the NT players and possible NT players.
And of course my contribution even training some potential players, I like to involve in every aspect I think I can help to the cause.


the question.... ¿why Latvija?


Latvija is one of the best NT´s in sokker in improvement. I followed the job sharon did in this country and was awesome. I can say he really build this NT and even now he´s continue the job training the base of the NT: the midfield. That is a plus very hight this NT have. I wish to make a higher contribution. In Ecuador I had a similar case of "building" and we had great results as long as the community makes the contribution of training the players, making opinions and getting involved.

this is my speech, is not the best or the finest, but its an option I offer to this community, so if you want to take my option, vote for me or if your not sure, ask me a question, I will answer it.

Great speech. You don't really have to excuse for your english as long as you don't try to translate it to latvian by using online translators :)

Not really, I’m already annoyed from all those “magic” translations. Its way better to use English (which is more than enough form what I saw), well if you want to learn Latvian, then it’s a different story :D. Questions will be later as I’m not the right conditions to make something decent out of my mind.

I know, all seasons in Venezuela we read spanish translations from "El Zorro" xD

Mini World Cup is next season so if I won, I want to Latvija participate because is a chance to face valuable teams and improve the rank and I dont know if the others candidates will join Latvija to the MWC, so you´re agreed to participate?

Why exactly Latvia, you mention the fast growth, what could you change, improve?
Why not keep training those NT you already had?

Latvia I think was interesting from the begining. A very well organized team (at least is what I can see from the outside), you had one of the best coach of sokker or at least I consider sharon one of the best, he made a hard work helping the community with his experience and training a lot of players. So why Latvia? is a strong NT after all of this good job done and I think I can add more to this NT with the experience I have.

As I see, someone who can aspirate for this job can´t change anything that It was done except to give to your country a lot of responsibility that this job requires. Of course, this job needs more that a simple "responsability". The NT Coach must keep this community organized and excited with results, have to continue sharing experiences with the users giving advices of the best way to traing players and keeps this communication with the community.

So, what can I change? I prefer to say what can I add. And I can add my experience and my knowledge. Latvia needs to improve in the rank, Latvia needs to qualifies to the WC and needs a good set of young players that can mantain the level of your country because the main goal is to improve to a higher level and keep this level. Its pretty sad when a NT qualifies to a WC and never qualifies again.

Why not keep training those NT you already had?

When I was with Venezuela I played twice the qualifications, I couldnt qualify for the reasons exposed in my speech so, far to be dissapointed I prefer to give the chance to another NT to make what I couldnt. The next coach qualified to the WC so It was nice to our nation.

6 times in Ecuador. If I would still for more maybe I´ll become "Chavez" trying to stay forever in the power :p Ecuador needs a good coach after my job and they have it now so It is also nice.

in Wales, mmm hard to said but it is pretty hard to do a long term job with so few users (10 or 12 users), the best players are getting old and the relief generation isnt good at all to cover the old players.


Which position is the weakest and how would you compensate it?

sorry but I dont understand on what you mean, position in sokker or my team, the Cymru NT...

if sokker´s... I will say: depends

the engine gives advantages and dissadvantages to all positions, the midfield is what I think the most important line and if you dont have better players in that line than your rival you need to compensate with defenders that allways gives a lot of preasure to the rival.

been weaker in the attaking line it´s a real problem, I experienced this when I was Ecuador´s coach and I know sharon too with Latvia when we dominate or holding a match and our strikers couldnt score because they arent good. It´s a nasty way to loosing games and pretty much difficult to compensate it, but the way to compensate it I think is making more and more chances, I think works more than add more stirkers wich no necesary means more offensive.

there are pretty low activity in forums .. especially those connected with National team., if u will be elected what you will do to involve our Latvian community to take more active part in forum?

from what I see, the results are the motivation.

In all my seasons as coach in the diferents Nt´s I try to involved the community to be more participative in the forums. I listen their opinions in how we should play against any rival, how to train a player, in wich position should play, what to do with a young, how is gonna be the result in any game etc...

I like to try a project that involves the train of young players with high potential to be NT in the future so this can be motivator to the community and the NT. In venezuela when I created this program was hightly adictive for a couple of seasons so I can try here to get more particpation in the forums
