Hello my dear friends from Latvia,

As I promised in the elections:

1) promoting and training young players for the NT -> mission accomplished

2) obtaining good results in U21 World Cup Qualifying group stage -> mission accomplished

3) communication and cooperation with users that are training latvian players in the main team or junior team -> mission accomplished / players updated / new juniors discovered thanks to users cooperation

The project for the new season is:

1) continuing to discover and promote young tallents

2) obtaining good results with teams closed to our rank

3) tactical tests for prepairing the next World Cup Qualifying stage

4) communication and cooperation with users that are training latvian juniors in the main team or junior team

First of all, I want to thank you for your support in these two season and congrats to Vainamoinen at Latvia Seniors NT!!

The mission for this season was accomplished:

1) continuing to discover and promote young tallents -> DONE

ah heck, another season, why not ;)

Thanks to you my friends, I have the motivation to manage the Latvian youngsters for the 4th season in a row. We made a better WCQ stage than 2 seasons ago (only 2 points we missed for qualifying to the World Cup) so we start all over again

My projects for the new season are the same, as you know during these seasons:

1) discovering tallented players and promoting them;

2) scheduling friendly matches with most of the teams closed to our rank;

3) prepairing the new generation players for the next World Cup Qualifying stage

4) creating new tactical schemes

If no one else wants to run, I can go for another season :) Just keep in mind I do have sometimes weekends away when visiting my girlfriend (I mean from Thursdays on) so I cant adapt line ups due to form issues ...)

Here we go with the 3rd World Cup Qualifying stage under my coach! As I promised, all these seasons, I've taken care about the youngsters of the NT and they are ready for the WC qualification stage. Even if our results were not the best in this friendly season, the Latvian community helped the NT and me, as much as possible with the juniors training and NT extratrainings. My project summary is the same like I did all these season:

1) take care of our players and promoting them;

2) discover young tallented players (making scouting) and updating them immediately;

3) trying again to qualify the NT to the U21 World Cup!

Unfortunately I am taking a break from NT activities. On one hand I just am a bit too disappointed we missed out on the WC due to sokker's random. On the other hand I am moving in the next month, so will need to move and buy stuff, spend time on furniture, painting, ... Thirdly I also have some personal stuff going on at the moment which will prevent me to make and fix tactics and give myself 100% for the Latvija national team.
I am sure I will candidate again in the future. As I said, the future holds a really nice set of players (though we need defenders badly), while the older guys can still go for another couple of seasons before the decline will be too big. In all the next NT coach will have a nice bunch to pick from.
Personally I'd say it's a good season to give it a try. If you don' feel up to it any more (or the community thinks you didn't do a good job), you only lost a practice season and an experience player could step up for the next WCQ. I know there's probably interested people, so give it a shot. And I know you'll get feedback from experienced players if you ask for it. If you want I can even drop by on the association forum (if my application is accepted) to give my comments :)
All in all I'd like to end with saying thanks, for electing me the previous times, but especially for training some nice Latvijan stars which are now part of the NT squad.

you did a good job and I'm sure that Latvian community will wait you to come-back here! Together we made good work with scouting and promoting players for each generation age!

I've read your topic in sokker international -> [NT] looking for coach and I would like to take a chance to be the coach of Latvija. So, here I am.

I am ringhiostarr, italian manager of Scarpones FC team. I play sokker since Januaray 2007. In my team I like to train young players, even if my team is not competitive. The reason why I prefer to play for win with the national team is that there is more tactic freedom and not training constrains. In the past I've got several seasons of experience with Italy U21, Malaysia U21, Malaysia NT and Nederlands NT for a total of 15 seasons. About the results, when I've been with Italy U21 maybe I had not too much experience but I got my satisfactions with Malaysia U21 and NT, where I bring them for the first time to the world cup and with Nederlands a 2nd place in the U27 european, that remain my best results.

After 13 seasons of pause I want to bring back to the NT stage. I choose Latvija because the actual coach väinämöinen decides to end his experience when there is a whole seasons of friendlies. This is a good situation to start again and let you decide if I could be a good manager for the world cup, in case that I will be elected in the upcoming seasons.

About my play style, I pay particular attention to the midfielder disposition and I try to manage the gameplay of the match, I like that in every situation there is an offensive solution, I don't like to force to break through in central ways. In the defensive situation, I usually use pressing and offside. I don't like extreme tactics that are far away from reality and (ab)use the defects of the sokker match engine (or instance, 6 defenders, elastic defense of 30 meters, 3 strikers focused in a spot etc...).

I am available to satisfy the request of the community and answer to your questions, if you have.
