also known as langhe.
I saw the request on the international forum, I applied and here's the topic to spam me with questions.
Some small talking.
Sokker related:
Got enough NT experience (Belgium, Scotland U21, Indonesia, Ireland, Wales). If you can't find yourself in the other candidates, just vote for me. I'm a fan of wide open tactics (see my arcade games or league games). You may see I never change that tactic, but I have about 7 valid ones. But there's no challenge in the league last season (I took 4/6 against league winners and lost twice because of sokker fucking me). Oh, I don't like symmetric tactics :) Why try the same thing on both sides? If it doesn't work on one side, it probably won't work on the other either!
not-sokker related:
26 year, have my job just over a year (graduated in 2012). My only relationship so far with Latvija is Riga airport when travelling from Tallin to Palanga every now and then. I play some mini-football (you know, where you can't use your hands as keeper), go watch my favourite team every home game, like to drink a good drink every now and then, ... so just the average young adult I guess :)
Any question, just shoot (it's not USA here, so I can say that). Topic and mailbox are open!

How do you play against asymmetric tactics when you cannot predict if it will be mirrored.
Non-sokker related:
There are rumors you like young boys over girls (not USA here). True or false?
I'm curios why someone posted that we need NT coach. Maybe you've mistaken with U21? AFAIK our U21 coach moves to NT chair leaving U21 spot empty. Good luck!

I'd prefer a 2 season run at least. That's the least.
I've taken a very long break (I think over 6 seasons) from NT coaching because I focussed on my own team. Then 2 seasons ago I missed the Belgian cup again, and got some tough games in the last rounds (thank you sokker for this fixed schedule ..) and some tough luck and I relegated. Last season I tried to promote straight again, and despite 4/6 against the league winners, I lost a game because they killed my striker early in the game (I didnt have money to put a back up one, so a triple excellent striker came on) and one because I didnt finish my chances). I failed, so now I'm rebuilding my own team. But there's no ambition. I can't promote, win the cup and probably won't relegate.
Briefly, I guess I have at least 2, probably even 4 or more seasons that my team won't take much of my attention. If I'm not mistaken, Sharoni did a great job with your NT. I think it's very hard to equal him, but he has shown longer term projects can bear fruit. So I'm willing to try, though knowing myself, motivation does come from the community and I need cooperation. It's bloody hard to stay motivated if there's no discussions and no help at all (tactics, scouting, database, ...).

Sokker related: I think nobody will take the risk of playing an asymetric defense if that's what you mean (unless against those very weak coaches who play the same tactic every single game, but usually those are also the weaker teams on quality). Blocking a midfield is rather hard to block anyway. You can only try to block the passing line, and that's always a bit of a gamble. If not, you end up with a 5-3(+x) tactic, and that limits your options a lot. So I usually see my defensive part of the midfield as a point where the defense can leave their ball and the building up can begin.
non sokker:
for a 26 yo man, a 22 yo girl is young. What's wrong with that? :D I leave the boys for those interested in them :P You're volunteering?
About your last point, I don't know. I read the U21 coach moved to the NT as well, so we will see what I can do on persuasion in the last days. If not elected, I'll gladly stay to help him if he wants. It would also grant me some time to get to know the player database (otherwise I'll have to learn them quickly)
So, now for you:
sokker related: why the hell do you still work for those idiots in Poland
non sk related: do you prefer goat or sheep?

if u are trying to be the coach of a NT u should know a little bit about it..and if even the present is not clear for u and the results for Latvija..i don't know what to say.

What do you mean?
Yes, you qualified them for last WC, which is a very nice achievement. But he built the team in my opinion and booked the first nice results (sometimes very unlucky) when the players were not that developed. So whether you like it or not, to me that is a bigger achievement than what you did (once again not meant to ridicule your achievement).

I have PLUS and there isn't much to do anyway. Why are you still here if you hate them so much?

I don't hate them, I never did. I only disliked some of my former colleagues for being total lazy asses :)
Probably you're lucky you never had to work with some of those A's:)

Hi,
thank you all to those who voted for me.
To those who didn't, I hope I can convince you in the next months.
Quick question as the friendly arranging has begun already. Are there any nations you'd like to play against, or any 'typical' games (e.g. is a match against some other Baltic nation a tradition or not? I didnt see any based on the last seasons).

Congrats and good luck!
I don't recall any traditions here, probably should pay attention on picking equal or easier opponents in order to earn some extra ratings. Maybe ex-coach can share you some hints.

avoid small contries and look for weak coaches at strong Nts.
I always preffered to play against better teams or quite equal with Latvija in ranking.

current schedule (I'm not at home and otherwise I'll forget this :) Tonight I start with the preparation of the first match and in the next weeks I hope to start updating the database. If anyone would want to volunteer for either help in match preparation ( tactics, player selection) or scouting or updating the database, let me know.
