Hello all
I will start a topic for NT Latvija. I don't want to use the one for the elections, it should be useful for the ones that will manage the NT in the future. First of all, I did not wrote anything in the last week because the firest week for a NT coach is always busy. I had to arrange friendlies when all are on a hurry and availabel opponents go away, I had to act the same too. I had to meet the NT database, try to guess an opponent approach that has not got any NT match and prepare the match. As I said previously, fortunately the DB was updated and this let me go straighforward to the NT match arranging.
First of all, I want to show you the match schedule here for this season

Week 03: Ozbekistan
Week 04: MINI WC
Week 05: MINI WC
Week 06: MINI WC
Week 07: MINI WC 1/8 finals or daehan minguk
Week 08: MINI WC 1/4 finals or Bosna i Hercegovina
Week 09: MINI WC semi finals or Malaysia
Week 10: MINI WC finals or Brasil
Week 11: Portugal
Week 12: Srbija
Week 13: Belarus
Week 14: Polska
Week 15: Hayastan
Week 00: Lietuva
Week 01: Philipinas (if not busy in ASIAN CUP)
I've mainly avoid, except Polska, Brasil and Srbija, top team, in order to avoid useless friendlies where there more chances to lose points in the world rank than gain. Anyway I would like to have a chance to have a match agains top team, in order to test the team in the world cup in the future. For this reason, I've arranged not early but late in the season, where I will have in mind better the NT players.
As you can see, I've subscribed for playing into the Mini WC. The tournament schedule will came out on the week 2, we are on the first pot.
About the NT players, I don't wanna explain much more in order to avoid to show the weakness, but I say you all that there are not a complete replacement of the players in the future. So.... open your young team, all the managers!! I think that this is a common destiny of many NT, especially (and unfortunately) the ones that has got little communities, as Latvija.
I want to end this introduction with a with to make a good job and carry benefits to the Latvijan NT.
Going afterwards, I would like to express my happiness for the match of today that we won! Cuba is above us in the NT ranking, I expected a hard match.... I could choose a easier one... nope! :) Two side match. In the first half, the match was balanced, where we was good enough to avoid to get goals from Cuba, where has got the main chance to score in the end on the first half. They got an aggressive approach with high defense line, we've been good to attack with fast counter attacks. In the second half Cuba completely disappeared, I don't remember an shoot and finally in the end of the match we scored two deserved goals.
I hope that Mairis Čabulis won't get mad, he scored a goal and just after substituted :D

The owner of the best striker of the next generation of the future NT player will sell him when he will reach the 3x divine skills. He asked to me if I know somebody interested to continue to train him. I will really care about it because he's only 25 years old with these skills:

[17] technique [6] playmaking
[8] passing [17] striker
He can reach the 3x superdivine if properly trained. If somebody is interested, write to me :)

i could sell one of my youngsters strikers, to make room for Karanausks, but i have Jaunutis, who also can reach 3x superdivine...... and they are to different skill distribution , to train them in one team for 3x superdivine

Sorry for the defeat :(. Opponents demonstrate more goal strike than us, that we had more chances but we wasted more. They has been able to score with less chances. With the injury of Zande the substitution order has been useless, even harmful because the wrong player went as winger. Not a good day.
I cannot really understand the use of Naris.
He lacks tech for a winger, and his defense level is useless on the midfield (imo you need brilliant+ on NT level).
Especially in his "low" form, I'd never field him.
Still, you were unlucky. Similar squad strength (rating based), but some more shots (didn't watch game so can't say anything about the "chances to score" from these opportunities).

I understand. As winger is useless and he's got that position because a unlucky combination of injury and substitution order. I try to explain. I set Barkans to substitute Naris at minute 65, because of the form (I will talk forward about the choice of him). Zande got Injuried at minute 62, Barkans substitute him, 3 minute later was the time of the substitution. For this reason, Naris went as winger. Of course I did not want to do it. It has been an unlucky combination, toghether with the low effectiveness to score the goal, it make me think that today was not a good day.
About his choice... I completely agree with you. Ciaguns is injuried too. I was in very difficult to make a choice. I tried to look to your old match to see what you've done but I've seen that you used midfielders with less defense of naris, only with playmaking skills. I preferred to use people with more defense in the middle of the field. This is difficult but challenging situation of the little NT communities, so I don't complain.

Ozolins is also an option for midfield but I prefer him as wingback. Or Osmanis but his current skills are becoming a wild guess.
I remember when, in my election topic I said that I don't like extreme tactics that are far away from reality and (ab)use the defects of the sokker match engine (or instance, 6 defenders, elastic defense of 30 meters, 3 strikers focused in a spot etc...).. I think that they don't pay. Peru tried to put an extreme elastic but with a huge distance between midfielders and defenders I had space to play the ball to other side or make a cross or pass through.
Good start of the mini WC, I was worried because I was not able to manage completely the NT because of my holiday (just finish... sigh :'(.. ) and I prepared a tactic last saturday, that I could not change with my mobile phone hoping that were not too much injuries during the sunday and wednesday.

We are first for sure in the mini WC qualification
Next week, I will try something new saving key players. Global ranking should not be too dangerous, I think.

It has been impressive, actually he's the top scorer of the tournament
It has been essential for the last win, because the other striker, Cabulis, got an injury of 8 days, this means that remained on the match with the highest amount of injury, wasting many offensive plays.
Let's hope that he will mantain long time this scoring rate :)
