On good news: we are level with Indonesia ...
on more bad news: we play with them next week ... but they face Daehan Minguk as last game, while we face Hungary. So probably the only way to qualify is to beat them next week and take a point or more with Hungary. Or really beat Indonesia with high score ... as they'll make up at least 4 goals with Daehan Minguk and we might get slammed by Hungary ...
Still, will try ... shame I did screw up with Ecuador in the first leg and only narrowly beat D.M.

Anyway, friendly with Vietnam first :)

We played 4-4 so with us facing Hungary and them playing South Korea ... and having exactly same goal difference now, we're realistically out :(

We beat Hungary... But 3_4 was not enough to win on gd. Indonesia won 7-0.
Painful end. I did rely too much on winger in the first half of the campaign...

After an undeserved loss last week to Andorra, we won deservedly 3-2 over Portugal. All to play for in the return leg of this campaign.

AFter another defeat against Andorra we're out of the WCQ run.
AGain I really don't understand how inefficient our strikers are compared to theirs (It was not as ridiculous in the first game, but still their strikers behave way better than the value suggests).

I'll resign at the end of the season,
Database will be updated to the maximum for the next coach.

So another even game ending in 3-1 loss (3-0 down after 15 minutes as defenders didnt win headers and keeper had a fumble). 5th spot in WCQ ... for sure my worst result with Latvija. Only plus was the win over Portugal, but we lost once to Israel and twice to Andorra.

As mentioned before, I think it's time for fresh blood. Database is quite up to date. Team is acceptable but very susceptible to form / inuries / suspensions.

E.g. today forwards were
- Pratveders: played
- Jaunutis: injured
- Pahars: injured
- Godis: very good form
- Dorins: adequate form
So we had to play Karanausks and Saltans (only 15 and 16 on main striker skills)

For gks we had a whole season of terrible form. Jelgavnieks never got higher than weak, Purmalis the same, ... so we only have Upeslacis and he was injured for few weeks, which made me call up Riduzis (which is only 16) or the next gk with form was 16 yo Zandberg (double 15) or 22 yo Stepanovs (15 gk, less than 13 pace).

Defenders: I played a mid (Modrins) as wingback very often due to lack of defs. Lucs, Jurissons, Bogdanovs (only recently updated and ok skills) are ok. Gudrups lacks any sideskill and Visgailis' owner refuses to give skills (I played him anyway based on very old skills and value) but his form dropped to tragic in the last month as well. Verdins is a youngster knocking on the door, but form just keeps him out.

Mids: Ciaguns is getting older and will not be very useful anymore in the next seasons I'm afraid. Kreitals is top, and Anmanis is awesome too. Bulduranis isn't the best (lacks either passing as wing or def as center mid) but will do fine. With Akords, there's a young promise coming up though.
