Subject: NT Friendly Cup

Dear friends, there’s appeared an idea to organize and hold a friendly cup for NTs from CIS and Baltic countries the next season.

Now there’s 9 NTs in Sokker:
1. Azərbaycan
2. Belarus
3. Hayastan
4. Eesti
5. Latvija
6. Lietuva
7. Moldova
8. Rossiya
9. Ukraina

NT fixtures for the next season looks like that:
week 2 WC Qualification
week 3 WC Qualification
week 4 FREE
week 5 WC Qualification
week 6 WC Qualification
week 7 WC Qualification
week 8 FREE
week 9 WC Qualification
week 10 WC Qualification
week 11 WC Qualification
week 12 FREE
week 13 WC Qualification
week 14 WC Qualification
week 15 FREE
week 0 FREE
week 1 FREE
That is, there’s a 6-week space for friendly NT games during which a small cup for 9 teams would feel itself comfortable enough!

Cup format will highly depend on the number of participants, of course. But this is discussable. For example, Groups of 3 teams, each playing 2 games (this will take 3 weeks) and then Semi-, Half- and Final games. Or, all teams in just one Group. Again, this will be settled later.

The aim of the cup is to create additional fun in the game.

but only one problem:

Belarus,Eesti,Lietuva,Rossiya are very strong teams for us.

Yes, this will be a problem for young countries (including Latvia, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbajan).

Anyway, Estonia and Lithuania will be the strongest.

I also propose to use U-21 teams in this cup.

You are in! With Latvia, we have 6 participants: Azerbajan, Armenia, Belorus, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine.
We will play 1 group of 6 teams (that will take 5 of 6 free weeks) + 1 final game. All weeks reserved for the Cup. Please, do not make agreements on NT friendlies.

schedule are not already done,Zack82 (my friend and Belorus NT Coach) promised to create a new forum for the Cup this evening.We will discuss all stuff there.We would like to settle down all issues this week (rules, regulations, fixtures, age-bounds, statistics, etc). Anyway, we`ll have teams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 playing the following way:

Group stage
week 4: 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6
week 8: 1 vs 6, 2 vs 3, 4 vs 5
week 12: 1 vs 3, 2 vs 5, 4 vs 6
week 15: 1 vs 5, 2 vs 4, 3 vs 6
week 0: 1 vs 4, 2 vs 6, 3 vs 5

after that we`ll have all teams placed 1st-6th
Final Games
week 1: 1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th, 5th vs 6th

Yes, I think we'll stop on this format. As for the age limits, I think we should play with young player (like U-X, where X less 21 or 22 or anything like this)
