I am dealing with 'tx_comment.php'. And I have some questions to discuss here.:)

$tx_50 = '_player_ passes the ball on the spur of the moment.';

what's the meaning of red texts? :D

on the spur of the moment -spontaneously, on impulse (something like that) :)

$tx_72 = '_player_ tries to claim a difficult ball.';
$tx_171 = '_player_ comes out and claims it.';
$tx_174 = '_player_ claims the ball, and sets off on a run towards the opposition.';

What does 'claim' mean here? :)

What does this sentence mean?

That he tackles him. It's a sentence which is has to make it interesting. You should not translate hit in Chinese as 'he tackles him', but use an expression for tackling him.

And about claiming: claiming means not automatically that a player gets a ball, but that he says/shouts/makes obvious that he is going to get him. Nice example could be that a goalkeeper signs to his defenders that he will get the ball (he claims him), but he's too late and an attacker is earlier and scores a goal.

Btw: we have CCTV and most programs are in English and there are even programs teaching Chinese children Chinese. Does that mean that children even don't learn Chinese anymore, because it's an too difficult language?

In China, children must learn Chinese as a course since primary school. In this way, they can recognize more Chinese characters , and can say and write Chinese in right grammar. :)

TV programs are just complementary ways to teach children Chinese. Because TV media is very popular in China, thus there are many educational programs by means of television.
